Question about LG BD300 Blu-Ray Player
There is no unlock code for all regions (AKA "Region Free") on any blu-ray or DVD player. Only DVD's and Blu-Ray Discs can be set for region code 0- the "Region Free" code.
To prevent piracy of DVD's and Blu-ray discs, "region codes" are set up in every player/burner that is manufactured. The owner of a player can change its region code (if allowed at all by the manufacturer) only TWICE. Attempting a third change of your region code will permanently lock out your device, turning it into a paperweight. This also applies to PC DVD R/RW devices.
I have heard of numerous "hacks" on this or that website that claim to set your player or burner for region zero, but every single reply I have ever received after warning people off has been, "I wish I listened! My player does not work anymore!". Most, if not all of these sites run a code that "burns" your two allowed changes and then takes out your device permanently. CAVEAT EMPTOR!
