Fan making annoying sound

Electro-mechanical fans make noise when wear and tear create sufficient gaps between the mating surfaces to cause vibration or axial movement of the moving part. Fan replacement is the most effective solution, and if you are not a good diy-er send it to a laptop repair shop. You may some tips in the Thinkpads forum where some chaps tinkered with their noisy fans.

The fan is making an annoying noise

Usually, this occurs when the fan has accumulated dust. You should clean the area with a blower where is the cpu fan. If the noise persists, you must have replace your CPU fan latpop.

HP laserJet 5200dtn making buzzing/humming noise

I suspect you have a noisy cooling fan. Nothing that will stop the printer from functioning but annoying I'm sure. You will have to have that fan replaced to get rid of the noise.

The fan is making a loud noise. It still works but wondered what can be done to stop the noise. It gets to be annoying after awhile.

Someone need first open and determine which fan is making the sound if it is a fan.

Some it may be normal but if a lot of dirt/dust gets on the fan's blades this can be the trouble.

If pinpointed to a single fan--replace it to find out.

You can also (a good resource) GOOGLE the model number with "fan noise" to see if known issue.

Fan making noises overheating?

This is a very common problem with Acer Aspire5315 Notebook and in some cases the Laptop automatically just shuts down and things get very annoying in hot summers

If you have not opened a Laptop before then I will strongly recommend you to take this Laptop to a technician and get it serviced in front of yourself. The technician should open the body of the Laptop take out and blow air into the fan which should remove a lot of dust choking the fan making this noise. The other parts should also be cleaned in the laptop service process such as the fan duct leading to the CPU. When service is done on this PC it will remove 80% of the problem.
If you still face the sudden shut down problem. It will be due to the flakiness of the fan and you need to download a software usually developed by third parties and sometimes free to download just use the right keywords on you search engine and easy to install and which controls the timing of the CPU fan to start and stop.

Tauqeer

My laptop makes a very strange noise all the time when I turn it on it is a extremely annoying occurrence. I have had this problem for a long time it doesn't affect the way it runs it just is annoying.

Possibly the CPU cooling fan. I would strongly reccomend you get this checked soon, a CPU cooling fan is relatively inexpensive to replace compared to over-heated laptop components!

My computer is becoming really hot and noisy. After turning on the computer, everything is good (no noise). Once around 15 minutes passes by or I open up a lot of programs together, my computer starts...

Sounds like the fan is wearing out, as it heats up the fan needs to spin faster and if the bearings are wearing out it will start getting louder and it will also get hotter because the fan cannot keep up the heat being produced. You can replace the fan, most computer shops will carry replacements, also get a can of compressed air and give the inside of the computer a good cleaning. This will help keep things cooler as well. Also make sure that the air vents on the outside of the case are clear as well.

Locate what is making the noise. There is a fan in the freezer behind the rear cover inside. There is a fan underneath accessed from the rear behind the cardboard backing. The compressor is also there with a starter/overload relay which could make the noise.

Freezer making a loud noise.

Sounds as if the evaporator fan has shaft play or the blades are out of balance or striking something. When you open the door the pressure is equal but with the door closed the fan needs to push the air through the evaporator and return again and circle through fan again. I think soon would be a good time to unplug the refrigerator and remove the back panel covering the evaporator and fan motor to inspect the fan, shaft play and the evaporator for frost buildup or any obstruction of air flow. Thanks, sea Breeze

Mold in the rinse aid compartment.

You should check your pump located in the back of the machine to make sure that it is pumping water out. Also see why the fan is making noise and replace the fan. Also check your hot water supply. Mold wont grow if the water is the temperature it is supposed to be and seems like youa re just washing with warm water or even cold
