ITouch won't connect to internet

i suggest u just get some fried chicken and put it into te chicken monster

go to settings... and view the connection... select the little arrow to the right of the name of the connection.. and select "forget this connection" turn the wifi off... then back on.. and connect back on the network and it should work. it fixed my mine. i had the same issue. goodluck

I FIXED MINE THIS MORNING!!!

try this! If your iTouch says you are connected to your network but you can't surf and you've been able to connect in the past...you have to reset your network connections on your iTouch.

Go to Settings
Go to General
Go down to Reset
Go to Reset Network Settings
It will ask for your iTouch Passcode...enter it
Then, hit the red "Reset Network Settings"
After that, go back to "Wi-Fi" in Settings...
...and connect to your network again. It might ask you for your WEP password, if it does, enter it.
The IP Address, Subnet Mask, Router and DNS fields should now have entries in them.
Surf Away!!

dumb question, but did you put in the security code of your network if it is locked? In settings, wifi networks. Seems like I had to do that.

I had same problem. Took it back to Best Buy and they could not connect to their WiFi. Conclusion--bad wireless card. Got money back because they had no replacement. Bought new one at Wal-Mart. It worked perfectly. Solution is do not putz around; return for one with wireless card that works.

Okay here is what you REALLY have to do!!!!

go to google

type in "wirelesskeyview download" into the search engine

click on the first link that it shows and download it.

it's completely free and VERY helpful!

its a very short download, extract the file and put it somewhere where you won't lose it because it won't show up in your start menu.

This doesn't require any installation.

Go to where you placed the file and open it.


click on the application and it will ask you to allow/cancel the program.

your network should show automatically and WEP will show next to it in the hex column.

type what you see in the hex AS the network's password on your itouch

ok..so next to the wifi you connected, there's a little blue arrow button and press dat button...after dat, go down and you will see renew lease and press dat...dats how i got mine..hope it worked :)

If you have a Linksys router this worked for me. Go to Settings on your ITouch; Wi-Fi; Other; Security; WPA; Go back to Other Network; Type in your network Name at the top (for example mine is GSI); then go down to Password and type in the Personal Key found on the Linksys page after you logged in with your password. Once I was on the correct page I went to Wireless and then Wireless Security and you will see the Personal Key about five tabs down.
