No, the LCD panel wouldn't cause that: their performances don't change with the age, when they age individual pixels start to fail and appear as bright spots.
No, in your case it's either the optical engine - it needs cleaning and inspecting - or the bulb.

If you haven't done this before then definitely yes, it's a job for a pro - it's very easy to damage the lenses by accident. It will take around 2.5 hours.

My screen colouration seems to have gone and there is allot of flickering? is this fixable and if so what is the estimated cost for this?

LG Zenith recommends replacing the Y-sustain, x-sustain and digital /logic board as a set. After you replace you will need to check the voltages listed on your panel. The cost if bought from second hand dealer like shopjimmy.com will be around 250-300 for the parts.

Ensure that you are in the daytime12 hour segment by allowing the hands to pass 12 o'clock and notice if the date moved on or not.
If the date changed, then you will need to advance at least 2 hours before moving on to set the date.
If you do not need to change the date, return the crown to position 1.

Setting the Date:
DO NOT DO THIS IF THE WATCH IS BETWEEN 8pm & 2am
Pull crown to position 2.
Rotate the crown clockwise to set to the correct date.
Return the crown to position 1.

Resetting the Hands:
If the hands do not zero correctly, which might occur after a battery change or a violent shock, you can make adjustments by doing the following settings as long as the countdown is not in operation.
To correct the hour/seconds counter sub-dial, pull the crown out to position 2 and wait 1 second.
Press either the 2 or 4 o'clock button; the central timing hand will turn and stop [not necessarily at 12].
Press the 2 o'clock button to increment the hours/seconds counter sub-dial hand to position it at 60.
To correct the central timing hand, press the 4 o'clock button to increment the hand to the 12 position.
Return the crown to position 1.

If the battery had been replaced, the central timing hand defaults to the 10 minute position. If the battery had not been replaced, the central timing hand will return to the previously set position.

Apollo vp835 projector, poor quality. Replaced bulb, didn't help

you have at least 2 issues with your optical engine. both are due to excessive dust and heat. the fly-eye (diffuser) lens is fried, as is the light filter on one of the lcd panels. unfortunately, you cannot purchase individual parts for the optical engine. you'll have to replace the whole thing.

IT APPEARS VERTICAL LINES (ABOUT 10) ON SCREEN AFTER 2 HOURS OF PROJECTION. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

clean out the projector with canned air to remove any dust. lines can be caused from excessive heat from too much dust. fans could be wearing out, causing voltage spikes and drops. also could be that the main board has an issue and needs replacement.
