Check the system devices make sure the device works, then go to webcam program and check the settings if it is disabled, enable it and if theres any other setting the has something to do with webcam then check it out it will tell u if theres a problem bye troubleshooting the webcam!

Have you tried to use it ? Open yahoo messanger, select a person to have video conference with, under actions, select "view my cam" see it the camera activates itself, if it does not, let me know.

Try removing the power supply (from the wall) and the battery pack. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Plug the mains power (from the wall) back in and then press the power button. It should work. Then you can replace your battery pack. Don't know why it works but it has worked for me in the past. Good luck!
