Toilets seem to run on their own because the water in the tank is seeping our past the seal that was designed to keep it in the tank inbetween flushes. Commonly called flappers, they go by seals, tank balls discs. etc. The K4632 requires a flat seal from Kohler. The actual part number is 1059291, however Kohler may only sell this as part of a kit by a different number with pieces not truely needed in your circumstance.

You should contact them at 1-800-4KOHLER, navigate the prompts, and talk to a service member. You may have to do some research in your area to find a retail or wholesale business that will order this for you. There are circumstances where, with some parts, Kohler will send the parts free to your doorstep. No promises on this one. I have put a link below that will give you a complete parts explosion for your reference.

I had this problem with my Kohler Portrait toilet which was made in the mid 90's. This toilet has been troublesome from the start...needing frequent internal parts replacements but this last time was a doozy.

Water was seeping through the fill tube gasket and was driving me crazy. I tried everything: replaced ALL the internal parts and still happened. Then is dawned on me. The big plastic nut that tightens the fill tube assembly from underneath has to be really tight, otherwise when you reattach the tank to the bowl, the downward pressure on the fill tube gasket will lift it ever so slightly...enough to cause a slow leak. I didnt have the right wrench to tighten this nut (who does??) so I had to use a regular pipe wrench VERY CAREFULLY to tighten the nut without breaking it.

Between the proprietary components and the stupid float on the flapper, this has to be one of the worst engineered and consumer unfriendly toilets you can buy. Forget Kohler. Stick with a basic Mansfield. Easy, simple, cheap.

Why did the motor die while I was driving down the road when I turned on the a/c and fan?

If the engine overheated then the antifreeze may be getting into the engine, indicating a cracked head or block. check for water in oil via dipstick. .

07 impala starts but dies and not start again

Normally Shifting out of gear in motion wont damage much unless you revved the engine really high for an extended period. Shifting into park while in motion will make a ratcheting sound, but usually wont hurt anything. However the act of doing so may have tripped a fault in the ECU that makes the car think it needs to be in limp mode. It did just that and got you home albeit running roughly.

Have someone remove the NEGATIVE battery cable. leave it disconnected for a few minutes, then reconnect and jump start the car if the battery is too low. doing so should reset the ECU and restore normal operation. If drivable, proceed to a brand name parts store. they usually will reset your ECU codes for free. IF all is well this should fix the probelm. If something was indeed damaged, you wont likely be able to drive the car.

Cycle starts, but does not fill with water

When I start a new cycle, I first hear the pump run to empty out all remaining water, and after that I hear the motor run for the regular washing cycle, but there is no water in the dishwasher. After a few minutes, the cycle stops, and the washer claims the dishes are 'clean'. When I try starting a new cycle over and over again, about one in 20 times, the cycle will run normally with water. But then the next time, the problem starts all over again. Once a cycle starts correctly, everything works fine, including the rinsing.

2004 Intrepid- when I start the car the RPM surges. If I put it in gear right away and try driving it continues surging down the street. If I start the car and wait like a minute before driving it usually...

The check engine light should be on and when it is the engine controls are in Limp mode. That means the computer is using a pre-set list of settings to try to keep the engine running long enough to get the car to a shop.
You need to get the problem with the MAP sensor fixed and get the light turned off.

Ive a 1995 Lexus gs300. Its been running fine until today. It has been extremely Cold, and today One of the Hoses Blew off the car obviously water and steam. The hose was fixed by the AA, and on my way...

Trust what the AA says ..

It does sound like you have an airlock .. and the airlock is likely to be in the heater matrix, as opposed to the radiator.

Bleed the heating system: Set your heater controls to hot and fully open. Let the engine work until it reaches normal operating temperature. Check your coolant level to see if it has dropped.

You can always bleed the coolant system by leaving the coolant bottle cap off for 10 minutes whilst the engine ticks over.

It isn't your water pump.

Kenmore Upright Freezer Works Sometime

try a new start relay and overload kit specifically for the make and model freezer you are working on. if compressor can be seen ,the numbers on it can be used to get correct oem start cap, relay ,and overload. if your unit is having starting problems that will usually fix it. if however, the stat is failing to bring it on a new stat is called for. but it sounds like it is having starting problems since you said it was off a long while then still struggled on the overload to start then finally did. if the new start components don't work then new freezer time. compressor replacement is to expensive anymore. good luck

Smoke problem

hey
there are couple of smoke type.blue smoke is oil, black smoke is fuel, and white smoke is water, if it clears after starting and running a few minutes it's probably your valve guide seals leaking oil down on top of your pistons, causing it to smoke until burned off and foul your plugs.
