Question about Proform XP Weight Loss 620 Treadmill

1 Answer

I am assembling the ProForm 705 Trainer Model PFTL70009.0. On page 11 of the manual, Step 10, it has me attaching the Crossbar with 4 #10 x 3/4" screws. The screws will just barely go into the tap hole and won't screw in any more. They stick up at least half an inch. I know it isn't supposed to be that way because they don't tighten down to the star washers. I have tried the screws in the tap hole without the crossbar to make sure they don't screw in any more and they don't. I am sure from the picture that I am attaching in the right place in the right screw holes. I don't know if I am doing something wrong or if I need to go to the hardware store and find a smaller size screw. Thanks.

You probably have a nswer by now (or have given up and bought other screws, but I have to tell you we just had this exact problem! We rubbed the screws on a bar of soap. then they screwed in just fine. Its still very tight, but they go in all the way.

We also first screwed them directly into the handrails without the crossbar on to make to make sure we could get the screws all the way in (as the drilled holes were not perfect). But I think the main trick is really the soap.

Proform hybrid trainer squeaks - elliptical portion only. Everything tight. What do I do now?

Locate the site of the sqeak. Then spray WD40 or similar spray lubricant thoroughly in and around the screws in that area using the straw attachment. I did just that and it took care of the problem.

How to replace a front motor mount on a 1993 Mercury Sable 3.0 V6

To change the right front motor mount on a mercury sable. 1. you will need a jack and 22mm and a 5/8 socket.
2. you want to place the jack under the catalyst converter or somewhere on the motor that will lift the motor separatly from the crossbar that the front mount is attached to.
3. apply a little lift to the jack raising the car(3 or 4 hydraulics jack lifts).
4. using the 22 mm socket wrench take the bottom nut off the mount which is located under the right side of the crossbar.
5. using the 5/8 socket remove the top bolt that attaches the mount to the motor.
6. raise the jack 2 or 3 more times( giving you more room to move the old mount out).
7 . remove the old mount paying close attention to the way it is positioned, being sure not to put the new mount in wrong.
8. apply the new mount.
9. apply the top bolt and tighten .
10. lower the jack until the mount is seated correctly onto crossbar.
11. apply bottom nut and tighten.
12. glad i could help!
