Question about Toshiba Televison & Video
I have a Toshiba TV, unfortunately I do not know the model #, from 2005 and my son changed the video input to another mode, either "VIDEO 1 or VIDEO 2", I'm not sure, but he did this with a remote. He dropped the remote on the floor and the dog chewed it up so now the TV is stuck on the mode to watch a DVD. I tried to change the channel back to the TV mode but can't do it, it seems, without the remote. Is there another way?
Most remotes have the source button at the top right hand side all the top left hand side it should be called sauce or it might just have three lines if you have a black lever on the right hand side then you need to press that in and wait it should put you to the av screen then if you let go you can press down or up that will let you chose av or video of hdmi ok if you want to send me a pic of the Tv so I could help you more if you can't find it I don't mind ok

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Your set should have external video and audio imput jacks besides the tuner imput for antenna, you can use the video and audio outputs from the vcr or DVD and conect them to the video and audio imputs in the tv then you can select a channel below 1 or push the switch that says Video/antenna.

my universal unit won't change the tv channels, everything else works except the channel changing. Does anyone have a solution., The company is only open during the week.

SOURCE: video mode
I went to add/delete channels in my menu on my symphonic and it let me scroll through the channels, make sure you have them all set to add (by pushing the volume buttons to make them light blue instead of purple)....after adding all of your channels (or just the one if you use dish) just power the tv off while on a channel and then power back on and you should have tv.

If you have lost the remote, go to any electronics store and buy a universal one. I have programmed many generic remote controls, and they all work fine for adjusting the video inputs. Not all television sets allow their video inputs to be switched without the remote. Most likely you will have to buy a replacement.
