I can't get my Macbook setup to use the Lexmark x6650. I used the install disc and the wifi light on the printer is green, but I still cannot figure out how to setup my Macbook to print to is...

Print the network settings page to identify if your printer is connected to your wireless network:

1. Press Setup on the printer operator panel.

2. Press the right or left arrow button until Network Setup is displayed, press OK.

3. Press OK at Print Setup Page.

4. Press OK when prompted to Load Paper.

5. Press OK. The network settings page will now print.

Check the Network Card Status, SSID, Trouble Code, TCP/IP Address. SSID should be the name of your wireless network. Otherwise, you may need to reset the printer's wireless network settings.

How to reset network settings:

1. Press Setup.

2. Press the right or left arrow button until Network Setup is displayed, press OK.

3. Press the right or left arrow button until Reset Network Adapter Defaults is displayed, press OK.

4. Press the right or left arrow button to display Yes, pressOK.

Once the Wi-Fi light turns on to solid orange, run the Lexmark Wireless Setup Assistant on your Mac.

HP Deskjet 6980 won't print. Says offline but i don't see how to turn it back online. was working. now not.

Printers often go off line for no reason. It can be genuinely off line or the pc is just not seeing the printer anymore To put it back on line all you need to do is open the print queue (double click on the printers icon in printers devices/ printer and faxes) go to File and in the drop down list it will say "Use printer Offline or Use printer online. click on it and if the pc is seeing the printer if will change and the printer will then start up and print. If this does not work then check your cable to the printer or your network connection to reestablish the connection.

Hello I get problem to print on lan with my ir 5000 I give an ip and when i want to print i have notification printer is not on line

Hello issa,
Before you roll your eyes please understand that I am honestly eager to help you. There are a buttload of reasons why your device won't print. But I am intrigued by the way you asked the question. My helpful hint would be to say, remember that Canon devices will not accept network changes until you power them off (main power) and power them back up. And even then the default for Canon devices is 60 seconds before they will communicate with the network. It would be really cool if this is the only problem! Believe me, I have seen IT "gurus" pull their hair out over this issue. Again, ANY network changes on a Canon require a power cycle before they will accept these changes.GFL :-)

Won't print just comes up with ink system has failed

Reset the system by holding down the OK, Cancel, Black, and Color buttons down at the same time and turn the printer off.

Keep holding the buttons down until the printer shuts off and the turn it back on.

You will have to turn the printer off twice and then it will recalibrate.

Make sure you have new cartiges in the printer so that it can reset.

Network adapter no longer pings and I can't print,

I had the same problem with a power outage affecting this printer. The printer has surge protection built in, but the network adapter still seemed to be affected. This is what I did to fix it:
Take out all the data cables and turn the printer off. Open the side panel and press the continue and cancel buttons. While holding the buttons turn the printer back on and hold until all the lights blink. Wait about 30minutes and close the side door. After a few seconds, the printer will restart and print a test page. This basically resets the memory on the printer. Also, do NOT turn it off in the middle or you'll destroy the printer.

Can't print from my mac to my canon mp980 wireless printer

Sounds like when you added xp you inadvertently installed new print driver on server.
Try rolling back driver. But may drop xp from printing.

Best solution network printer to router bypass server. Will require hard wire from printer to router. disconnect from server may need network card for printer.
