NO go! Model # WM 3431h. Any other ideas? It always says filter clogged DE but is clean or not draining properly but is IE. It worked perfect for one year and then just started tis out of the blue.

    Thanks,

Did not work. I plugged it into am extension chord for the heck of it and it worked for awhile. The reset does not reset or make any buzzing noise. So it stopped again and back to square one. Really frustrating.

  • jabuckeye1 Nov 12, 2010

Water flow is fine. It is the same as it has been for the last year. The unit worked perfect for one year and then went totally haywire, all things being constant and staying the same. Same water pressure, same location, same house, same electric supply. Now the dryer does not even dry clothes on its own but makes them wetter.

  • jabuckeye1 Nov 12, 2010

The clothes get warm but stay wet. Could this also be the fuse? Also is there another place to clean lint from other than just the front lint trap? It seems as if there should be a lint trap for thr dryer besides just the front one,

    Thanks

Hi

You can reset the unit by entering the service mode of the washer. Depending on the model # of your LG washer/Dryer combo you can try any of the below procedures---
Procedure 1-- Pressing Option, and Spin button simultaneously. Power supply on with pressing upper two button. Then buzzer sound twice. Press the Start/Pause button once. And, then reset the power to the unit. Note-- Press the Start/Pause button more 4 times until stop spinning
Procedure 2-- Press the SPIN SPEED and SOIL LEVEL buttons simultaneously. Press the Power button, while the above condition. Then buzzer will sound twice. Press the Start/Pause button once and wait for 2 minutes. And, then reset the power to the unit.
Hope this helps... Please post back with model# of your unit if you need more information.

    Hi

Error code IE means Washer not reached to the water level (2 level) within 4 minutes after water supplied or not reached to the preset water level within 25 minutes. This error appears when the the water pressure is too low or when there is blockage/obstruction in filling. If the fill hose is fine and the water pressure seems to be OK then you'll need to check the fill valves for any disconnections. Check the fill valve for continuity, you may need to replace the fill valve if continuity is not there. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

IE error is related to Water pressure too low or due to fill valve. Plesae check the fill valves for continuity by using a multimeter. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Dryer not drying clothes means that the thermal fuse is bad and should be replaced. It is located on the blower wheel housing and the back panel comes off

Amana dryer model YNED7200TW will not start. there is power, but start button does nothing. Resetting breaker did not work. Any ideas?

Thermal Fuse

Item #2986 (OEM Part)
$10.70

Thermal fuse. If the dryer overheats, this device stops the flow of electricity to the heat source and/or the entire dryer. It is located on the blower housing and cannot be reset. The most common cause for overheating is a vent tube clogged with lint, a birds nest or other debris.

Lg wm3677hw combo washer drain pump repair question

You replace the whole drain pump. Pretty easy to do from the opening in the bottom by resting the unit on its back. (Make sure you drain the unit completely) You should be able to get the drain pump (pt #4681EA2001D) from http://www.encompassparts.com/lgconsumer/ for less than $50 + s&h.

Lp conversion for LG dryer

After removing the three screws which pass through the L bracket into the back of the dryer:
Stand in front of the dryer and (using the palms of your hands) give the top a sharp push back on the dryer top at the left and right side of the top. The top should slide back 1 to 2 inches. Now lift the top off.

If you post again with further questions, make sure to post under the model number you have. (you posted using a combo washer / dryer, and stated you are converting to LP, which combo units are not gas.)

LG Senseclean washer dryer combo won't dry

The problem is likely due to lint build up in the condensing unit. I found a solution here:
http://www.motusconnect.com/blog/2009/1/5/lg-washer-dryer-drama-%E2%80%93-diy-fix

I also had a softball size ball of wet, packed lint in the condensing unit. I found that the unit can be cleaned without tools or dis-assembly by:
  1. draining the water.
  2. laying the washer on it's back.
  3. removing the hose clamp on the rubber bellows that connects the drum to the condensing unit (right hand side of machine).
  4. digging the lint wads out with your fingers and a small screwdriver.
Happy drying!
