Question about Hotpoint 24 in. FDW60 Free-standing Dishwasher
Having looked through the forums, the delicate light (indicator 6) means; Timeout looking for heat.
I have checked for continuity across the heater terminals, which is okay. The resistance over the same is approx 20ohms.
Just had the front panel off to check the Thermistor. At room temperature the resistance is approx 24kohms, dropping to approx 3kohms over a heat source. After getting down to 3kohms, it suddenly jumps to 2300kohms.
Also, on the Control Board, there is evidence of slight burning around the solder terminals of the two spade connectors, though continuity is good.
I am going to recheck the heater readings just to clarify.
In the meantime, can anyone tell me what reading I should seeing across these two components, and also, which one is most likely at fault.
I f you have warranty on this please call them, you have a defective D/W.Unless there is no charge for repairs ,don't spend a dollar on what is going to be a on going problem ahead. To explain how to fix this is what the manufacturer should have done in the factory and not made 1 dollar off of this defective D/W until it proved this to be ready .What has happened to Quality Control ? Does it no longer matter ? Very sorry ,you should seek a refund ASAP.
