Our Bosch dlx series dishwasher slowly fills up when it isn't running. If we don't use it for a day or two the water will flow out the bottom. When it runs it runs normally.

Hello,

Welcome to Fixya ! You've come to the right place. The problem you're experiencing sounds like (unfortunately) a common one.

The water inlet valve has been an issue with B/S/H built ( this includes bosch, thermador, seimens & gaggenau ) dishwasher's going back to the mid 90's.

The part to repair it is available at most brick & mortar appliance part centers or you can check out on-line vendors such as repairclinic.com, apwagner.com etc.

Do a search for part # 1105846 at repairclinic ( that is their part # not B/SH/ ) you'll see what I'm talikng about. By the way it's about $35. Hope that helps move you forward.

Let me know if I can assist you further, or need help on how to change it etc. It's relatively easy with Bosch. Thanks for coming to "fixya" for your inquiries and please take a second to rate this answer according to my helpfulness.

Good luck.

I have the same problem

So I thought you might find this info interesting. I called the guy that sold me the control board and told him I thought perhaps it was damaged. He thought this was unusual so inquired into what the problem was. I explained in detail the issue I was having. He spoke to me on the phone for approximately 30 minutes and talked me through finding the "plug"to the heater. I "un-plugged" it and re-set the dishwasher by turning it to rinse and pressing dry heat and start/cancel simultaneously then turning the knob to wash. The dry hit button came back on and I unclicked it and hit wash and it started to cycle and is cycling now. After it is done I will try to "plug" the heating system back on (there are two plugs). If it continues to work great, if not, the problem apparently lies in the sensor or the heater itself. This appliance guy said that many dishwashers have had re-calls on the heating systems and sometimes plugging and un-plugging them does the trick or atleast locates the problem. So I have made some headway in getting it to work for the first time since July. It appears to be a heater issue to a heat sensor issue now (working on it as we speak)

For reference, the guy I spoke to was from BAFILTERSUPPLY.com. His name was Dean. He helped me diagnose the problem on the phone at no cost to me. I originally purchased the dishwasher from Orville's in Buffalo, NY. Not only did they charge me $100 to come out to the house, but they mis-diagnosed the problem as the control board (of course they were only at my house for 5 minutes- I timed them), never looked underneath the dishwasher, and want another $100 to come back out to the house. I am thouroughly disgusted.

Just remember to cut the power to the dishwasher while you're doing the above.

LG Dishwasher - drain hose replacement

Hello, I have just installed a similar model, and took the side panel off to see how it was put together ;)

The drain hose goes in the back of the dishwasher, then loops up the right side (as you are looking at the front)(this is to act as a "trap" to keep sewer gases from coming back into your washer, I assume), and then connects to the drain pump under the washer.

In order the change the hose, you will need to remove the left side panel, and the bottom panel, and this will give you access to the entire hose....

Hope this helps!
