Konica minolta 2550dn, eveytime I clean the inside for loose toners, it won't see the ink cartridges. First Cyan, then the rest one by one. Sometimes it will take the whole day switching on and off until it will work. Is there a quick fix for this?

If after cleaning, the problem persists, Order new print cartridges.
Sometimes they are chipped to "expire" after a set date, then cannot be refilled. It may be possible to fool the system, but Manufacturers will state "replace with new"

I hope this cures the problem for you.

Hi,

Possibly the electrical contacts of the toners (both on the printer side and the toner side) are either dirty or corroded. This would require that said electrical contacts be likewise cleaned and if there are signs of corrosion, scraped. Often these contacts would be at the ends/sides of the toners and would appear as rectangular metal plates roughly 5mm X 10mm. The mating contacts on the printer side would be bended metal pins to match the location and position of those on the toner. In some instances, it may help if you bend the printer contacts in a way that they will exert a bit more pressure towards those of the toner.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

When you insert the cartridges please check the metal contacts for which might be causing the problem you need to clean the contacts in the printer itself by powering off (IMPORTANT) that should take care of the issue.

Large Toner Streak... Bad Imaging Unit?

Check to see if you waste toner recycling for the cyan is working or being blocked. Check the transfer bias roller next to the cyan drum. Return you cyan imaging unit for a warranty replacement. Check for obstructions to the cyan developing unit. Check that the cyan IU was put into the machine properly. Check for toner leaking from the entrance to the developing unit or from the toner cartridge.

or, call a qualified KonicaMinolta tech to check out and service your machine.

The Cyan toner cartridge is jammed, it needs to be taken out and try and move the white plastic gear round a bit to free it. It normally is very stiff and wont move much, but if you can move it a fraction that will do. One thing, did you overfill the cartridge with toner? sometimes that will cause them to seize up.

Konica minolta error

I had the same problem and found that one of the toner cartridges must have not been seated properly. I removed the black toner cartridge and re-fitted it. The printer now works fine again with no errors. 17H is a code relating to a fault in the rotation ......... possibly one or more toner cartridges need checking. Use the menu on the printer to turn it to the appropriate position (i.e. engine menu then select replacement of whichever toner you are checking).
Hope this fixes your as well.

Toner problems

A couple of suggestions. 1. make sure there is not any plastic shipping tabs that need to be removed from the cartridge. 2. try reseating the cartridge. 3. Try replacing that cyan cartridge. It may be defective. Also make sure you use Minolta brand toners!
