DEPENDING HOW OLD IS YOUR MACHINE IT WILL START COMMON LEAKS DUE TO HARD WEAR, BUT YOU CAN FIX IT IF YOU DO A MOTOR OVERHAUL BEFORE MORE WEAR AND MORE MONEY TO SPEND TO REPAIR.

Look @ your sight glass. Left of engine lower bottom of casing. If too much oil is used a small amount of smoke may appear. LOL

How can I drain excess oil from bambi 15v air compressor.

Yogi:

There should be a drain plug at the bottom of the motor crank case. It may take a wrench or an allen head wrench to loosen it. You may have to remove the motor shroud to get to the plug. Look around the bottom of the motor and around the sides at the bottom of the motor. Once you find the plug, you can remove it, drain the oil, and refill it. Put the same amount of fresh oil in the motor as you drained out. Don't over fill the crank case. If there is a sight glass, use that to determine how much fresh oil to put in.

Will not build pressure

If your compressor is oil-less type, most likely pressure is leaking past piston ring. To verify, remove cover to expose bottom of cylinder (unplug compressor and let out all air). With flashlight, examine the upper-most part of the cylinder (turn motor by hand till piston is at top of stroke). If top of cylinder is scratched, then pressure is leaking past. If cylinder looks good, most likely problem with reedvalves or broken gasket in pump head. Parts are not too expensive for most small compressors. If your compressor is oil lube type, problem sure to be in the head assuming no leaks. Good luck

Air conditioning compressoor leaking oil

I have not seen green fluid from an A/C compressor. There are some sealers which are put into an A/C system to seal leaks and refresh the system. Can not identify a brand, there can be differences in oil but again I am not familiar with colored oil.

Best advice is that the compressor will seize without oil and not work without Freon. Have a technician try to save your compressor by fixing leaks and refilling Freon.

What causing hot air to come out of air compressor cylinder

The air is always warmer coming out of a compressor. As air is compressed it builds heat, also the mechanics (friction) of the compressor builds heat. So you add these two together and you get some rather warm air out of a compressor, especially if it runs for a while. I hope this helps.

1991 fxr total engine rebuild a month ago, still a small leak where cases join what would cause this!!!

I would say that the two cases were not properly sealed when they were assembled if that's where they are leaking. Before the two case halves are assembled, there should be a bead of silicone sealant put around the inside lip so that they seal oil tight when they are put together and torqued. Of course, the case halves must be a matched set as well. There should be some numbers on the case, usually a four digit number stamped on each half of the case down on the bottom side. Make certain the case bolts are torqued correctly. Now, a lot of times when the cam chest cover (nosecone) leaks, it will run along the bottom of the cases to the center line and then drip from there making it appear that the cases themselves are leaking. Clean the area thoroughly and then go for a short ride or stand the bike up as straight as possible without it falling over. Watch for the drip in the later case.

Good Luck
Steve

Ac holds pressure for about 1 hour then goes warm after recharge

Hello duffman014: My name is Roger and I will help. If you keep loosing the charge there must be a leak. If this happens in a hour it is a leak that should be easily found. You will need a leak detector to find the leak. Check the obvious hoses, compressor seals, accumulator fittings and the condensor. Also look for areas of oil stain and dirt collection on the consensor ,fittings, and the accumulator. Look for oil leaks around the compressor. If you still find no leak. There is one more place to look. You will need to gain access to the Evaporater core. This is located in the dash area.Locate the blower resistor block. It will be on the A/C case under the hood. Should be held on by two 8 mm. bolts. Remove the screws and raise the resistor block out of the case. If you look down inside of the case with a flashlight. Look for oily trash or even vapor if you just charged the system.Or put the leak detector down inside the case. Should the detector alarm go off you found theleak. Should you neef further help please just ask. Please rate the answer as this way I know it was useful. Thank You for using Fix Ya.Roger.

Can I put it on its side in the window

I would say no. The compressor has oil in it which stands in the bottom of the case. If you put it on it's side the oil will no longer be in the bottom lubricating the compressor.

How do you replace an air compressor in a 99 olds alero

TAKE CAR TO GARAGE OR DEALERSHIP.THEY HAVE TO DISCHARGE AND RECOVER THE REFRIGERANT FROM CAR STORING IT IN STORAGE RECOVER UNIT.AGAINST THE LAW TO LET OUT REFRIGERANT IN THE ATOMOSHERE CAUSING OZONE DAMAGE.WHEN REFRIGERANT IS REMOVED THIS WILL BE THE CHEAPEST WAY.FIRST GO TO AUTO PARTS STORE BUY A PACK OF O - RINGS FOR AIRCONDITIONERS SYSTEM.THEY SHOULD BE GREEN COLOR NOT BLACK ONES.THEY ARE THE UNIVERSAL O -RINGS NOT MADE FOR AIR CONDITION SYSTEM.THE REFRIGERANT WILL DESTROY AND CAUSE LEAKS.WHEN YOU BUY O - RINGS.BUY NEW ACCUMULATOR THE OLD ONE FULL OF MOISTURE.YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE EXPANSION TUBE OR ORIFICE TUBE.IT IS LOCATED AT CONDENSOR LOWER LINE FITTING.BUY 1 BOTTLE OF R- 134 REFRIGERANT OIL. THEN BUY NEW COMPRESSOR.WHEN REMOVING OLD COMPRESSOR POUR THE OIL OUT OF IT.MEASURE HOW MUCH OIL IN COMPRESSOR.OKAY TO REMOVE AC COMPRESSOR FIRST REMOVE DRIVE BELT.THEN SAFELY RAISE SUPPORT VECHICLE ON JACK STANDS ON LEVEL SOLID GROUND REMOVE WHEEL AND SPLASH SHIELD ON PASSENGER SIDE.DISCONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR FROM COMPRESSOR AND REMOVE COMPRESSOR REFRIGERANT LINES.THEN REMOVE COMPRESSOR MOUNTING BOLTS 2 BOLTS AT TOP 1 OR 2 BOLTS ON BOTTOM OF COMPRESSOR.WHEN REMOVING OLD COMPRESSOR.SEE HOW MUCH OIL COMES OUT.SHOULD BE A OUNCE OR TWO.GM COMPRESSOR HOLDS 10 TO 8 OUNCES.BUT WE DONT KNOW HOW MUCH IN SYSTEM.WHEN YOU BUY NEW COMPRESSOR.MEASURE HOW MUCH SHIPPING OIL IT HAS BY POURING IT OUT.TO BE ON SAFE SIDE I WOULD POUR 2 OUNCE REFRIGERANT OIL IN COMPRESSOR. POUR 1 OUNCE OIL IN ACCUMULATOR.REPLACE ALL THE O -RINGS AT THE COMPRESSOR AND ACCUMULATOR AND THE LOWER CONDENSORS LINES WHEN REPLACING THE ORIFICE TUBE.USE NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS TO REMOVE THE ORIFICE TUBE.BESURE TO PLACE THE LONG SCREEN ON THE INSIDE.BESURE TO LUBRICATE ALL O - RINGS WITH REFRIGERANT OIL.WHEN YOU PUT EVERYTHING BACK TOGETHER.DONT OVER TIGHTEN THE REFRIGERANT LINES WHICH WILL CUT THE O - RINGS CAUSE LEAKING. TAKE CAR TO A GARAGE THAT DOES AC WORK.LET THEM PUMP DOWN THE SYSTEM AND LEAK TEST THEN CHARGE AC SYSTEM UP.THIS WILL SAVE YOU MONEY BECAUSE IF YOU BUY A VACUUM PUMP THATS ABOUT $400.00 AND MANIFOLD GAUGE SET A GOOD SET RANGE FROM $100.00 TO $300.00 DOLLARS.SEE YOUR AC COMPRESSOR $270.00 TO OVER $300.00 THAT ADDS UP.HOPE MOST THIS INFORMATION WILL HELP YOU. IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS THE HAYNES REPAIR MANUAL CAN ALSO HELP YOU IT HAS PHOTOS AND INFORMATION HOW TO REMOVE AC COMPRESSOR.

What could cause an oil leak in a 2002 MB C240? What is the best case scenario and worst case scenario. The leak is actually a slow drip.

If you had the oil changed lately and the "O" ring stuck where the filter unscrews and someone proceeded to put the new filter on without looking this can cause a problem. Putting too much oil in the crankcase can cause a seal to blow. A leak at the oil pressure switch. A loose or not sealed oil drain plug. You will need to try to locate whether it is coming from the bottom or at the top around the valve pan cover which is the most likely place, and if it that is the case; it still can drip through the night while it sets, which is missleading. If you can't find any noticeable places...that is a good place to start...at the valve pan cover...seal it real well with RTV sealer, let it dry over night and see if the problem goes away.
