Question about Jenn-Air JGS8750ADS Gas Kitchen Range

Open Question

Jenn-Air JGS8750ADS, The starters keep clicking after the burner/s are lit. The outlet polarity is correct, I have also cleaned the burner head with a brass brush and all the holes are unclogged. Additionally, I have lightly brushed the aluminum burner base and the ignitor. The only time it hasn't clicked is after I had the oven in use. This makes it seem like there is a thermal sensor somewhere? There is no other info/ suggestions that I can find to fix this model. Someone help, please.

SOURCE: spark ignitor won't stop clicking

Dry the ignitors and see if that works. If not, then get new ignitors.

SOURCE: Problem with getting burner to light.

All my ignitors spark when I turn one of them on. I'v been told it is normal. I had a problem before and the tech that replace the ignitor said the issues is with alignment. Try to rotate the burner a bit left or right and see if it fixes it.

SOURCE: Jenn-Air JDR8895 dual fuel--ignitors won't work after flood

hi your ignitors wont last long, they are similar to a fuse, you should be able to change the ignitor and if it still does not ignite look to see the space of the ignitor and try shorten it.

SOURCE: jenn air oven doesn't work model jgs8750ads past

Yes. F1 error is a bad control board.
These boards are very sensitive to power surges, lightning and power brownouts.

JGS8750ADS, When you light the burner/s, the electronic starter doesn't stop after the burner is going...it just keeps on "ticking" away

The igniter is designed to spark at all the burners, no matter which valve is turned on. Once it is lit, turn the gas valve to low med or high settings. If it still sparks after you have turned the valve, it may have gotten wet. Did you recently clean it? Let it dry out for a few hours. Or is this a new unit? Is it still under warranty? Call the manufacturer for free warranty repair.

Jenn-Air JDG8430 Ignitor won't stop sparking after burner ignites

Test the ignitor first, if the ignitor does not spark should be the ignitor itself.

Jen-Air Gas range Igniter keeps clicking but not starting fire

01/26/09 My wife decided to give our Jenn-Air a good cleaning. With lot's of soapy warm water she pulled the knobs off and washed under each of them not realizing excess water was now running down the inside of each control knob shaft. The igniter immediately began clicking away as it was being shorted by the conductance of the water now inside of the switch. I had to remove the cover (2-screws) to access the control switches but that is all I needed to do do in order to have clear access. Using her hair dryer it took about 5 minutes of warm air blowing down each of the shafts until the water evaporated and the clicking stopped. Wahla. The old Jenn-Air is back to working order again.

Wolf range cooktop

I just installed a Wolf gas cooktop and had the same problem in that all 4 burners would light just fine but the electronic igniters would not stop clicking on all four. What I found was that the electrical outlet that my gas cooktop was plugged into had the polarity reversed. I tested the outlet with a polarity testing module (you can get one at Home Depot and it checks polarity, grounding, GFI and is handy to have around, small and inexpensive). I plugged it in and the lights told me that the polarity was reversed. I reversed the wires in the outlet (exchanged the white and black wires) put the cover back on, plugged in the cook top and now it works like a champ! no more constant clicking. By the way, we had a cooktop before this one with electronic ignition and never had a problem, apparently it didn't care about the polarity.
