I can send emails, but not receive, have tried to enter User name and Password, cannot be certain that these are correct). can you help please?

I forgot my password to my twitter acount


From the help section:

How to change your password while you're logged in:

  1. From your logged in account, click on the profile icon in the upper right hand corner of your screen and selectSettings.
  2. Click on the Password tab.
  3. Enter your current password.
  4. Choose your new password.
  5. Save your changes by clicking Save changes.
Note: If you're able to log in but can't remember your password, you can send yourself a password reset email from the password settings page.

    Is this on the website, or are you accessing via a Mac/PC

    If Mac, try this
    1. Open Preferences -> Accounts
    2. Click on dropdown next to Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) and click "Edit SMTP Server List"
    3. Change "User Name" to full email address and re-enter your password
    4. Click OK.
    The dropdown should no longer say (Offline)

    How do i reset my password on yahoo


    Go to contact us,it will give you a number to call yahoo. Yahoo usually requires you to call them anyway. And it only takes a minute to complete.

    You can unlock your account by entering only your user Id and request to be sent a new password. Facebook will send you a temporary password to your email on file. The User ID and email much match, in order to receive the temp PW. Or you can sign up anew, and at time it says this email or user name is already on file, request the missing unknown.

    Here is what an 1102 error is and what some of the things to look for are.. hope it helps..

    1102 SMB(SMB)

    It's actually related with SMB.

    The shared folder on the server may be blocked by an open ghost connection.
    A restart of the samba service may repair

    This is nothing to do with hotmail..it is your setting..I assume that you made it all necessary inputs thru
    -*setting-*mail account-*add an account- * enter hotmail info
    and you are done..
    Than you make that account -*Active -and go to main menu to click -*Receive mail-(you must have a wi-fi connection too)
    your mails should be downloaded into iPhone.Hope you will succeed.
    If problem continues send me an email that I can send you the some screen pictures of iphone for this setting.

    Just set up email account. worked first time for me.

    from menu: <messages><3 email inbox><ok><options><email accounts><ok><ok> on first account (Account 1)
    fill in email account details:
    Account Name: enter a arbitrary name that is relevant to you.
    SMTP server: enter smtp address of your email provider
    e.g. mail.isp.com.au
    SMTP port: leave default of 25, unless advised otherwise by your provider
    Email retrieval server type: pop or IMAP4 generally pop will work but use config as provided by isp
    pop3 server: typically same as SMTP server, unless otherwise specified
    POP3 port: 110 is default
    use ssl checkbox. I left unchecked, this would provide a higher level of transfer security but makes config more complicated
    Keep on server checkbox, I checked this as my mail emailis my laptop, so I don't wantthis to take all the messages, this way both devices can get messages, assuming leave on server is enabled on other email client on Laptop/PC but set to delete after 7 days.
    My address: enter email address in the form: user@isp.com.au
    user name: enter the configured email account user name. usually the name before the "@" in your email address
    Password: enter password of the email account to allow access, note case senSaTive
    Use SMTP authentication checkbox. i left this blank as this is not required by my isp, although some do require this.
    Same as POP3/IMAP4 checkbox. only needed if SMTP authentication checkbox is set. if SMTP authentication is set then a name and password is required, generally the same as POP3 name/password entered earlier so just select - same, otherwise if isp setup requires differnt use fill the username / password fields.

    <Save>

    ensure newly created account has tick in the box next to it to enable it.

    should work.

    To send:
    to test create an email message and send. may need to add email address to a contact first.

    To receive emails:
    <messages><email inbox><options><download> this will download any emails on your mail server

    all worked well for me

    Pop email settings with godaddy domain


    I FINALLY GOT THE ANSWER! I ALSO HAVE A GODADDY EMAIL ADDRESS AND USE A HTC TOUCH PHONE FROM SPRINT. I've entered the following settings and my email now works like a charm! This is for a POP3 email address, not an IMAP email address.

    You cannot send the email unless you have a sprint email address. Email must go through the Sprint server in order to be sent (incoming mail does not).

    Call Sprint Tier II (877.345.7895) and ask them to set you up with a User Name and Password for the outgoing mail server. All the rest of the settings are as follows:

    EMAIL SET UP Email Address: You@YourGoDaddyDomain.com Your Password: the password you use to access your go daddy account Check SAVE PASSWORD Click NEXT UNCLICK TRY TO GET EMAIL SETTINGS AUTOMATICALLY FROM THE INTERNET. Click NEXT. Your Email Provider: Internet Email Click Next Your Name: Dales Wife Account Display Name: 'GoDaddy Email" or whatever you'd like to call it so you can identify this account (you can have several email accounts sent to your phone). Click NEXT Incoming Mail Server: pop.secureserver.net Account Type: POP3 Click NEXT User Name: Again enter You@YourGoDaddyDomain.com Password: Enter your password again Check SAVE PASSWORD Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server: smtp.sprintpcs.com CHECK Outgoing server requires authentication UNCHECK Use the same user name and password for sending email Advanced Server Settings: DO NOT Check: Require SSL for Incoming e-mail DO NOT Check: Require SSL for Outgoing e-mail Click DONE to return to previous screen Click NEXT Outgoing Server Login: TheNameGivenToYou@sprintpcs.com Password: When you call Sprint Tier II they will ask you what password you'd like. Check Save Password. Automatic Send/Receive: I use every 5 minutes and it doesn't seem to run my battery down. Click FINISH. This has been driving me crazy for two months now so I really hope this information helps somebody else out. Best of luck! NOW, if anyone knows how to remove those annoying envelopes when I access my mail - I could use the help. There are three envelopes there (one for GoDaddy mail, one for Outlook and one for Picture Mail.) I do not use Outlook or Picture Mail and would love it if I could remove those.
