You need to try downloading the pics using a separate card reader. If this is successful and your pics end up safe on your computer, then you need to format the card in the camera to completely erase it and optimize it. My memory card has been - typrice_14.jpg

Did a camera really get virus or it affect the camera?

A virus usually doesn't harm the camera. But a virus can reside in the memory card do crazy things; specially when you connect the camera to your PC.

My memory card got error, after i connect my phone through usb mass etorage device, and open my memory card on my phone this shows, pictures.exe videos.exe sounds.exe, i cant open them, even when i took...

the .exe thing is called either a virus or a spware or a malware etc. it seems you have a virus attacked computer and memory card. take it to a person who has a fully protected computer with an original antivirus software like Norton, McAfee etc and clean your memory card.if you have those types of files in your PC too then purchase an antivirus software and install it in your computer.if you are using the card in your phone, please stop using it untill it gets cleaned or it may affect the quality of the phone too!!!

Camera not properly reading memory card

The problem stems from deleting some of the images from the PC. You need to copy all the files onto the PC, and delete all of them from the card on the camera. Then reformat the card on the camera. Then take 1 picture on the camera.

After you have just 1 new photo on the card, try copying the older files back onto the card in the same directory as the 1 new photo. This may work.

If it doesn't work, the problem may be with missing hidden thumbnail files. In that case you may not be able to get the photos to display on the camera again.

Didnt realise I furst had to format the memory card for my new Nikon D60. Took lots of photos at the weekend but when I took out the card to download the images there was nothing on it. However I can...

in some cases we have found that if there is a virus on the card and if you try to read it directly on a computer having anti virus activated, the computer shows card as a blank. As the camera software is not effected by the window based virus, it can read the data. Try connecting the camera to the computer via USB. As the widows xp or higher versions do not require drivers or the camera software to be loaded to recognise the camera you can directly transfer the data from your card.

Not able to copy the photographs from the meory card but able to see the sam in the Camera LCD screen

the problem may be that you have "locked" your memory, there is a little switch on the memory card you pull it up or down, up for lock, down for unlocking..  or the problem might be with your card reader..

File error

It could be either. There is not any way to tell, but if the problem is too bad I would replace the memory card first and then address the issue within the camera if it continues. David Millier Advance Camera Repair
