Question about Samsung Televison & Video
This could be a number of things but the simplest of all is to check the Lamp inside the back of your TV set. You will have to remove the back cover to do this and since you have a Projection TV, your Operations Manual should describe this procedure in detail. These lamps only last for about a year before they start going bad. Try that and if it still doesn't turn on, I would suggest changing the Lamp-Ballast which is a little more involved. Also, check your Color-Wheel. The Color-Wheel is a mechanical unit rather than electronic and is subject to bearing failures as well as heat stress. If all of these prove good then I would suspect the Power-Supply which is usually a job for a Technician. Before we get into a lot of detail, check your Lamp first and replace it if needed. If the TV still doesn't turn on as expected send another post and I'll try to walk you throught changing the Lamp-Ballast. Please include your model number.
