Check the air inlet filter. If there is any restriction in the air intake, the unit will supercool and ice up. The filter can be washed with mild liquid soap and warm water.

If it is icing up it will eventually burn out. It's not good for it to run constantly.

I have a Lennox model CB19-51-1P air handling unit with HP19-511-1P compressor heat pump unit. I just turned the heat on for the first time this season. And I am getting low heat volume. The heat pump...

first thing you need to check is if the reversing valve is working you maybe running your A/C with the heat strips on depends on the t-stat your using some heat pumps will bring the strips on with a high degree difference in setting and room temp .

1- turn t-stat to heat set temp 10 degrees above room temp if you have a programable t-stat it will have a time delay on it allow to for the outdoor unit to come on 2 to 5 minute usually .
2- walk around to the outdoor unit when it comes on feel the big line the insulated one and see if it is hot or cold let it run for a 5 minutes peel back the insulation and gently grab the line with your hand it maybe real hot so be careful if this line is hot then your heat pumps is working mechanically and if it is just warm then you may need the charge topped off

there are so many different option's from this point i will need to know the findings of this test first thanks : Michael

Dometic unit cools great but compressor does not cut off when desired temperature is reached. The thermostat is on wall. The fan will cutoff at proper temperature but the compressor keeps humming and...

Hi, as you know the thermostat controls the unit. Here's what you need to do first. Go to your thermostat on the wall, pull off the cover. You are looking for the main control wires that come in from the back to connect to the screw terminals. Don't be afraid of shock as these are millivolt wiring connections. You say the fan shuts off but the compressor keeps running causing it to ice up. You need to get a screw driver and disconnect the wires from this stat. This should cause the compressor, fan, and all to shut down. If it does, you know that your thermostat is faulty and you will need to make your self a drawing on the wire connections, remove the stat, and you can get a new one at a RV sales and parts house.Find your breaker box where your main wiring comes in and shut off the a/c breaker if you like. Now, if the compressor keeps running after you disconnect it from the thermostat, then somewhere from the stat to the controls on the top have a hot wire that is touching somewhere causing the compressor to be energized all of the time. If you can go up top and find where this thermostat wire comes in, look it over good to see if the red is touching the yellow wire some where. I believe you just have a faulty stat at this point. Do what I asked on the stat, disconnect it completely, and we will go from there. You can get back to me by leaving a comment under my user name. Please let me know and we will take care of this problem.

I have a Ruud 90% furnace (18 yrs.old) Several days ago, I had a complete ice-over of the evaporator coil. Filters are clean, and airflow unrestricted. After defrosting coil (48 hrs.) while testing, I note...

The motor shutting off after 30-45 seconds means it is probably getting hot and shutting off on thermo overload safety in motor. Two things can cause this: #1 is the motor is defective. #2 the run capacitor has gone bad. If you want to try and save money replace the run capacitor 1st and try it. If that doesn't work replace the motor. You would replace the run capacitor at same time anyway.

Lg heat runs all the time

It sounds like you have the fan turned on. If you go to the stat, you should see an auto button, or switch for the fan. If you just switch it to auto, the fan will stop, and only start when the unit calls for it, hope that helps

Air unit ices up

Yes this occassionally happens when the humidity is high.. Also it is ok to run the air conditioner for about 18-20 hours a day but try to switch it off for a while if possible. This will improve the life of the air conditioner.. if you have any further queries do ask me..

Regards ,
Eagle.
