You didn't say what make and model camera you have, but most cameras need a fast card to record videos. If your camera uses an SD or SDHC card for example, you would want a class 6 or better card.

How do I stop youtube from buffering?

Buffering is the process of loading the video from Youtube servers to your screen. The buffering depends mainly on speed of your internet connection. You can try the following options
  1. Switch to a highspeed internet connection
  2. Once the video starts, press the pause button. Leave it for 5-10 min and then try playing

Half of the screen is black

Hi,

Your tv have problem with the Y buffer board. Normally Y buffer board is placed in the top or bottom of the sreen (Lower Y buffer or Higher Y buffer). The Y buffer board will look like in the picture. Also the video will help you to identify the y buffer board. You can get the part from any nearby samsung service center. I have added one link for the upper Y buffer baord. Upper Y buffer
You have to find out which one is faulty before replacing. Aslo cross check the part number on the board before purchase.

Screen goes dead after few seconds. Green light stays on. If I disconnect from pc it shows "signal lost"

You need to try another screen if it is possible. Sounds like the screen you are using is about ready to die. I had one that would do something similar to that. The backlighting on the monitor went bad. Would come on for a few seconds and then go dark. You could just about make out the pictures but could not read the words at all. Had to get a replacement.

Trying another screen first will tell you if it is really the screen or video card.

the problem is the lower buffer board. however getting to it is a pain. you can test by disconnecting the lower buffer, then turning the tv on. it should turn on and you should get picture, but only on the top half of the screen. the lower buffer causes the tv to act up and go into some sort of protection mode. good luck.

Where do I find the buffer settings?

Make sure your desktop is fairly empty of Icons except the bare minimum system icons. Also, make sure there aren't alot of Icons next to the time display at the bottom right of your screen. If there are, close them and then try streaming video.
