If this is a pre-manufactured manufactured computer then you will not be able to because the processor will be soldered in. On some custom gaming PCs and laptops you can take the processor out simply by popping it out. the manufactured computers solder there's in because it is better for manufacturing purposes but custom gaming computers have plug and play processors to make upgrading easier.

i hope this information was helpful, if you have any comments or question please reply to this post and i will try to help out as much as possible

Hi Trifon,
you are detecting a known problem for 32 bit operating systems.
The problem for those system is that they can manage maximum 3 Gb of RAM.
If you want all of your RAM used you have to install a 64 bit operating system. Windows 7 has also a version for 64 bit as well as windows xp (but is not good supported) and windows vista.

ASUS M51SN Matshita BD UJ-120 burner does not work - Windows 7

You need to install windows 7 (32 bit) not 64. To change to 64 you have to make internal changes and updates to your notebook. Your notebook is set up for 32 bit systems.

Hello :

Did you download the driver of your webcam ? If not , then download it and install it on your system . The driver usually comes already with the ASUS CD . If you don't have the CD , then you can download it from ASUS website . After installing the driver , the cam will be able to be used automatically when you need it .

I have a asus laptop model M51 series and I cannot close my DVD compartment. There is nothing jammed inside it just wont push in..

Hello and thank you for using Fixya's services.

Go to start, my computer. Right click on D: drive and click on eject (even if it is open).

This should close it but if it doesn't, try rebooting the computer and trying one more time. Sometimes software engines can stick causing this to happen.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Notebook won't start/lcd is blank but the power is on

You could have a faulty motherboard or RAM.
First remove the main battery and boot up the laptop without the main battery connected, if it boots up insert the battery, no need to power down. If that doesn't work, switch off/disconnect the adapter and insert the battery, then reseat the RAM modules and boot up.

If nothing works then you have a piece of junk. You can salvage the hard disk and put it into an USB hard drive adapter case and use it as an external USB hard drive.
