Spyware/trojan that affects IE and not firefox is most likely cause.try a few spyware scans like spybot search and destroy and Adaware ,both can be found at www.filehippo.com Also check your connection settings.
Tools->Internet Options->Connections->Lan Settings
Make sure that the use proxy server is not selected if you are on a direct connection or selected with the correct proxy IP and Port if u are using a proxy server DNS client needs to be active for it to work. goto start>control panel>admin tools>services; and look for DNS client. now highlight it by right clicking>properties - set startup type to automatic, then set service status to start.

t last you should try iefix to automatically fix any issue .
The address for anyone that needs it is: http://windowsxp.mvps.org

If nohins helps give me exact error message to resolve this issue

Using IE 9 I can't see remotely the cameras to my CCTV system. I believe the netviewer program is not working properly. I only get a small square in the middle of screen top.

Win7 has both Internet Explorer 32bit and Internet Explorer 64bit.Click on start, all programs, open Internet Explorer, NOT Internet Explorer 64bit. The shortcut on my desktop was to the 64bit option and I could not view cameras regardless of permissions etc. Once I opened 32bit version cameras work perfectly. I fought with this for weeks before realizing there are two versions of IE9. Hope this helps.

I can not find the block that reads "wii internet". There for I can not access the internet except for the weather channel and the news channel

I would suggest if you haven't already use the Shop Channel and Download the Internet Channel.

It is free now but if there is parental controls you will have to have someone who knows the code let you get it from the shop channel.

WEATHER.COM error message

Internet Explorer 8 has a "compatibility view" button.
Click it, to see if 'weather.com' works, when IE8 is imitating IE7.

Then, wait for the webmaster of WEATHER.COM to make the web-site compatible with IE8.
