SOURCE: Sewing machine straight stitch is not straight

Hey. It's full out possible that you have it on the right setting...but concider this - the switcher inside the sewing machine could be broken (ie. It's moving to different stitches - but not the one you have the outside set for)

It happened to me (pc o crap singer model)

SOURCE: thread keeps snapping on NEW Euro Pro 32-Stitch sewing machine

I also have the same sewing machine. The machine is not very user friendly and the instruction manual doesn't really illustrate the right way to thread the machine. For the bobbin, make sure you thread it through the two tiny holes in the small rectangular metal piece in the bobbin case. I had to use a dental floss threader and tweezers to thread the bobbin correctly, if you can believe it! As for the upper thread, follow the directions EXACTLY as illustrated in the manual. Don't miss the little loop underneath the machine or the tension will be wrong.

Also, use extra strong thread. I used a professional quality break-resistant thread from Germany for both the bobbin and top thread, and the machine works okay.

SOURCE: Shirring fabric?

When putting your shirring elastic on the bobbin, don't thread the elastic through the bobbin holder, adjust the stitch length longer, and loosen the tension, other wise if you want to put it through the bobbin holder you have to loosen the tension screw on the bobbin holder, and then you have to adjust it back for ordinary sewing,

I have a Euro Pro Shark Automatic. It works perfectly as a rule. I am trying to sew heavier material than usual - new inserts for my exterior sling chairs. The thread is heavier nylon and it catches on...

Most domestic sewing machines will not handle heavier thread than the standard 50 weight. I'd suggest you go back to regular polyester sewing thread and use a 110 or 120 size needle to cope with the heavier fabric. Sew slowly and give it some help on the flywheel when crossing a seam allowance. Maybe stitch each seam twice, with a 1mm gap between to give it strength.

If you need to use the heavier thread to do the job then you will probably need an industrial sewing machine that can handle that grade of fabric and thread. Something like a Singer 20U machine in a table with seperate motor drive.

Fabrics like Canvas, ticking and PVC for exterior items are generally going to be beyond the functionality of a domestic machine and you can damage the machine, particularly the timing by trying.

Where is ''S'' on the stitch length dial shark Europro 7133

Hi Queen,
on the stitch length dial on the top right of the machine, turn it all the way left. When you get to 0 and think it stops, keep turning, you'll get to the S.
Good luck,
Diane

Shark 384 - how can i get a straight stitch?

with the Shark Euro-Pro X machine, you need to bring the stitch width to zero it's the nob on top of the machine the manual states not to use it wider then 3 with the double needle cause it can break the needle. but either stitch selection "A" or "S" will give straight stitching with width at zero.
