There are several websites and books you can buy. I would try 'radio reference DOT com' for your state. Realize that your scanner CANNOT do DIGITAL, so if there is a digital system in your city/county/parish, your radio will not work. It will however still work on weather, Skywarn, ham radio frequencies and some more rurual police, fire and businesses.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Motorola gp68 reads error 004 in freguency window

This happens if you leave Dealer Programming Mode without programming any channels or if your programming gets corrupted. To re-enter Dealer Programming Mode hold "PTT" + "MON" + "SCAN" and turn on the radio. Once in DPM your channels can be reprogrammed.

HOW DO I GET ONLY THE CHANNELS I WANT

You can use the LOCKOUT key to temporarily bypass unwanted channels, or you can delete the unwanted frequencies by reprogramming their channels with "0.0" I hope this helps, and please contact us again if you have have other scanner questions.

How do clear the scanner to re program it

Programming a frequency into a channel clears the previous channel entry, so there's really no need to "clear" the scanner for reprogramming. To eliminate an unwanted frequency, you can either press the LOCKOUT key to prevent the scanner from stopping on a specific channel, or you can "zero" a channel:

1. Press SCAN/MAN to stop
scanning.
2. Use the number keys to enter
the channel number (1-200)
you want to clear.
3. Press PGM. F=C appears.
4. Press 0 then ENT. The
frequency number changes to
000.0000 to indicate the
channel is cleared.

How do you clear all channels so i can put the channels that i want in it

There is no need to clear the scanner before reprogramming. When you enter a new frequency it will automatically overwrite the old frequency. To clear unwanted frequencies you can program "0.0" into any channel to clear it, or simply use the LOCKOUT feature to prevent the scanner from stopping on a channel.

Reprograming

Hi, looks like page 24 of your manual covers that part.
1. Press PGM. PGM appears. Then enter the channel number (1-200) where you want to store a frequency, then press PGM again.
2. Use the number keys and DELAY/. to enter the frequency (including the decimal point) you want to store.
3. Press ENT to store the frequency into the channel.Your scanner automatically rounds the entered frequency down to the closest valid frequency. For example, if you enter a frequency of 151.473, your scanner accepts it as151.470.
If you need a new manual, you can download it here.
