Question about Epson Stylus Photo R1800 InkJet Printer
From Lowerhouse to CompuG
Re the Epson R1800 inkjet printer; no viable solution has been advanced so far. The prints can fail at some point randomly in the process and yet sometimes they print properly and fully. It is a very frustrating fault. The paper is loaded properly and all the normal processes are followed to achieve a print. I have followed Epson's various 'solutions' - latest Drivers, stopping the programs that run at startup etc.. to no avail. The machine has not had a hard life since purchase and prints to perfection when it behaves itself. A solution would be much appreciated.
Here is the solution:
1. Click on START, CONTROL PANEL, PRINTERS AND FAXES (or PRINTERS AND OTHER HARDWARE).
2. Right click your printer, and select PROPERTIES. (If your printer is not listed, click on VIEW INSTALLED PRINTERS first).
3. Select the ADVANCED tab.
4. Select PRINT DIRECTLY TO THE PRINTER.
5. Click on APPLY (if applicable), then OK.
6. Restart your computer.
7. Try printing now.
