Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Need to upgrade graphics card for dell latitude D800.Also need a bigger hard drive 200 GB or more.Have only 40 GB now with Windows Vista taking up most of it!

In this laptop the video card is a special format one, it can't be replaced with any other one because no other one in the same format was ever made. But you can always put a larger hard disk - as large as you want and you can afford to buy. Just make sure it's a PATA one - like this one.

I forgot my latitude d800 bios password and it won't let the computer boot past the windows load up.

for that you have to reset bios settings.
For that you have to open cpu cabinet and if you have laptop you have to open back side cover of laptop then you find motherbord .
pull cmos cell from motherbord for 10 minutes so all settings are defaults.then it not need password.

Dell Latitude D800 fan runs all of the time. This is a fan at the upper left hand corner of the laptop and it runs at a very high speed. Reboots do not help.

It is made to do that so that when you are running programs or games your cpu & graphics do not cook. Make sure you keep the vents free on the side/back of laptop as a partially blocked vent will also cause the fan to revup. Hope this helps.
