I know that both the Sony DVD RW DRU-720A and Sony DVD RW DW-D22A and working fine. They show up in the my computer. I can put any kind of media in both drives and nothing happens. I can put an OS cd in the drive and reboot the computer and be able to reinstall the OS from the cd. It seems like the issue is in XP not the drives. Any ideas on what might be the cause of this? This is a fresh install of XP Pro with no updates installed yet.
