If its a 4 band resistor, use the following calculator...
http://www.dannyg.com/examples/res2/resistor.htm

if the resistor is a 5 band, use the following link....
http://www.sizes.com/materls/resistorcolor.htm

hope this helps!

check the ABL line starting at the flyback pin. Check if loss contact, resistors are open, defective diode then replace it. If it doesnt solve, try to replace ceramic capacitor at crt board

My Dell E773c Monitor's image is like a "hyperbola" wider at the top and bottom and narrower in the middle. The Horizontal adjustments do not do anything to correct the problem, Help!!!!

Try to do a factory reset (look up "recall" in the manual, or here: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/monitors/e773c/EN/ug/setup.htm).
If this does not help, you need to adjust the geometry settings (H/V position, H/V size, rotation, trapezoid, parallelogram, pincushion and pin balance) using the monitor's settings menu. Expect a long afternoon of fiddling around until you get a satisfactory result. A test picture for geometry settings could be of help.

Make sure your computers video setting does not exceed the monitors specification of 1152 x 864 @ 75 Hz.

I am replacing the 10M resistor with a lower value but can't find a source. This is supposed to cure the brightness problem. Telectron was mentioned in one forum as having a kit comprised of 3 different...

If you cannot find a 10M ohm resistor you can connect lower value resistors in series so it totals to 10M (ie two 5M resistor in series equals 10M). The only thing you need to be careful is to make sure the wattage is the same or higher than the original resistor.

Dell monitor E773C 17"

It sounds like this needs component-level troubleshooting, probably in the signal section. It might also be loose connections or residue of some kind in one of the switches or on the switch board.
