Is there a process known to man that cleans windex streaks off an lcd screen?

How to Clean an LCD Screen
So, first of all, let's decide what we don't use to clean it:
Anything containing bleach or ammonia, such as Windex. That will react with the plastic and make the plastic screen become cloudy and discolored.
Anything sharp, pointy or abrasive.
Your easiest choice is one of those LCD cleaning solutions they sell in places where they sell computers. But they're expensive, and why bother when you can make your own solution for next to nothing?

What you'll need:
Distilled water (available at your supermarket; tap water leaves streaks and minerals).
White vinegar (you may substitute isopropyl alcohol; either way, make sure these substances are diluted before they come near your screen).
A clean, soft cloth (never use any kind of paper product).
A spray bottle.

Directions:
In the spray bottle, mix the distilled water and alcohol/vinegar, in a 1:1 ratio.
Turn off the LCD display.
Spray the mixture onto the cloth, never directly onto the screen.
Wipe gently - oh, so gently - from top to bottom. Do it horizontally, too, if you think that leaves a cleaner result.
Let the screen dry before turning it back on.

Hands Off!
Fingers leave dirt and oil smudges that must be cleaned off. Also, every time you touch the screen you risk doing damage to those tiny creatures inside that hold the colored flashlights. Keep your fingers to yourself.

Washing machine tips

<br /> <span>Unplug your washing machine before you do anything. Since you are cleaning your washing machine, you might as well go all out and clean the front, top and sides with the spray cleaner. Clean under the lid and all the surfaces just inside the washer with the spray cleaner. Set the machine to the hot water and largest load settings. Once the machine is full, add the lemon or lime juice if you have rust problems or add the vinegar if you have odor problems. If you have both, do one "load" of each. Let the washer finish the cycle. If you are satisfied with the stain/odor removal, run another cycle on hot at the largest load setting without adding anything to the water.<span><br /><br /><br /></span></span>

How To Clean Laptop Screen With Household Products?

<p><b>Cloth</b> - Only use a 100%-cotton cloth that is soft and absorbent, either an old T-shirt, sock, or Turkish towel. Make sure you're not using a cotton/polyester blend that contains stiff filaments which can scratch an LCD's surface.<br /> <p><b>Note:</b> Paper towel or facial tissue should never be used because they contain wood fibers, also hazardous to LCDs, and definitely are not how to clean a laptop screen. Also remember to never use a dry cloth on your LCD monitor. Dust particles moved around with even the softest cloth could create scratches.<br /> <p><b>Liquid</b> - The best way to get a really clean laptop screen is to use isopropyl alcohol, containing 91% pure alcohol, with 9% de-ionized water, readily available at any drugstore or supermarket. It's perfectly safe for use on electronic equipment and LCD screens because it evaporates quickly and does not leave a residue. The lesser strength isopropyl alcohol 70% is used primarily for massage and muscle pain.<br /> <p>A 1:1 solution of distilled water and isopropyl alcohol 91% can be used to clean a laptop screen that is not heavily dusty or soiled with greasy fingerprints. Vinegar and distilled water in a 1:1 solution can also be used for light cleaning.<br /> <p>Certain household liquids should never be used on LCD's. These include ammonia and tap or mineral water, which leave permanent white spots and streaks. Household window cleaners should be avoided because they might contain ammonia, or other harmful chemicals which also can cause irreparable damage.<br /> <p>Another caution is to never spray a solution directly onto an LCD. Always spray the liquid on a cloth, only enough to moisten it slightly, and then apply to the screen in gentle, counter-clockwise motions.<br /> <p><b>How To Clean Laptop Screen With Special Cleaners?</b><br /> <p><b>Kits</b> - Micro-fiber cloths and anti-static solutions are packaged together and sold at office supply or electronics stores. The special solution leaves a slight film that protects a clean laptop screen, repels dust and smudges, and keeps it clean longer. The liquid should be sprayed onto the cloth, which only needs to be slightly wet, not dripping, when applied to the screen. There's a slight disadvantage to these kits. Certain solutions cause streaking, so it's best to do a little research before investing in this method.<br /> <p><b>Micro-fiber</b> cloths can be purchased separately and used with isopropyl alcohol 91%, and/or distilled water. Whether using the complete kit or the cloths alone, make sure the packaging designates the product is ''safe for laptops and LCD screens."<br /> <p><b>Anti-Static Cloths</b> - Many computer manufacturers, when asked how to clean a laptop screen, recommend anti-static cloths made specifically for cleaning without liquid of any kind. These cloths are formulated for advanced optical technology and are considered the best way to clean, polish and protect a laptop screen. Even greasy fingerprints can be buffed off using these cloths, readily available at electronics or office supply stores.<br /> <p>Similar cloths are made for cleaning camera or eyeglass lenses, and these can be found at any drugstore, optometrist or camera shop. Anti-static cloths are the quickest and easiest solution when you want the most advanced and easiest method to both protect and clean a laptop screen.<br /> <p>The above options offer a variety of easy and safe ways to care for your LCD monitor. With simple maintenance on a regular basis, a laptop screen will last for many years.<br />

How to Properly Clean Your LCD Screen

LCD screens are everywhere—computer monitors, TVs, PSPs. And they like to get dirty. You can buy a screen cleaner to keep it looking shiny and new, or you can try some of these simple suggestions. 1 part distilled water and 1 part 70% isopropyl alcohol. Do not use rubbing alcohol or tap water as they both will smudge the screen. Use a microfiber cloth to wipe the solution on as opposed to spraying. Water spot in lcd of my dell latitude c510/610

if you have a jar of honey handy, run the jar under hot tap water for a few minute's. then take a dab and place it on a bandaid or piece of gauze. then center and stick it to the screen. do make sure your battery is removed and no power is connected. leave the bandaid in place for at least 4 hour's. remove and clean any excess off the screen then power it up.
sound strange? honey will suck moisture out of a diamond!
