Often it can be caused by dirty contacts on the print head, so clean them with contact cleaner or methylated spirits this may just fix your problem, try that before you do anything else If not that, then it may be Over heating or Under heating of the print head assembly, according to manufacturer.... replace head assembly...

Canon pixma mp272 printer. replaced black cartridge for the first time and now it wont print. getting error p08 on the printer and error 5200 on my laptop screen

Hello Hellen,
the error P08 is error for abnormal temperature in print head. Aa possible cause the ink cartridge is faulty and needs to be replaced. The same error description is for 5200 on your PC.

I recommend that you try to replace ink cartrigde under warranty in store where you bought it. If after that you still have error, take the printer to the service center because they logic board ( pcb ) is faulty.

Hope that helps!

When i want to print something with my Canon MP270 series printer, i get this message: error 5200. how can i fix this problem?

it reffers to ink level not sufficient if the ink level is there better try like this,
it could be the coagulation of ink in between the cartridgebetter dip it in mild hot water for some times and replace it wiping the water. it would do the trick and solve your problem . it has been practicallytested.

The error number is P8. The printer is not working at all.

Hello,

The 8 error code just means that the ink absorber is full and needs to be replaced. Power cycling will not help this problem. A shop needs to replace the absorber and reset the counter.

Thanks,
Bhautesh.

Canon pixma mp110

Dear team2,
Code 5200 indicates 'Ink cartridge temperature rise' error occurs. This error commonly happens when cleaning operation is performed. First, please check if there is enough ink in ink tanks. Cleaning with empty ink tank may cause this problem. If you are sure that you have enough ink in ink tanks means that the print head of the printer is faulty and need replacement.
Hope this will be useful for you. Please rate me as Fixya.

Unused ink tank

I am getting a Service error code 5200 on my i990 printer with the message,
Cancel printing and turn the printer off and then back on.
If this doesn't clear the error, see the printer manual for more detail. The manual dosen't help. Can you!
Thanks
