The rotating brushes on my floor setting keep stopping on carpet - even though nothing is clogging it. I have to turn my vacuum off and then back on to get it to start spinning again.


There are two things that cause this.

1) The suction is not good and is not making the turbine head run. Clean the filters/ head and check the hose for blockages

2) The Turbo head has more friction than it should. Remove the brushes from the turbo head and remove all hair etc from the bearings with tweezers.

If it still does not work the the most common problem is the bearing retainer in the turbo head has heated up and come loose. This is a very hard repair I do but for most they should buy a new turbo-head.

if you had a oil leak that is not a reason for a head gasket or skimming the head. now the compression and voluum in the head has changed a lot. all it being a turbo wow :( sorry. those engine leak a lot of oil through the turbo seal

Fireing pin moves very slow, it seems to have no power. It comes out slow, I have to push it back inside the gun. It was leaking out the back so I adjusted the cyclinder and now the piston moves too slow...


When you trip the safety and fire the gun, the cylinder drops down into body of gun allowing a rush of air to push piston down with force. If the cylinder fits too tightly in body, it will not open enough to allow full air pressure into cylinder. Remove head and check that the cylinder moves rather easily down then back up (it should travel about 1/4 inch). If is difficult to move the cylinder then remove it and replace all the orings that contact its surface. Also make sure that the outer part of the cylinder is smooth where orings contact. If there are fine scratches, remove them with 400 grit sandpaper. Lube cylinder/orings with silicone paste lube. While cylinder is removed check that lower bumper is in good shape with no missing pieces. For best performance, also replace the three orings on the feed piston. Piston /driver should move down cylinder with only slight pressure yet it should not drop down the cylinder under its own weight. Good luck

Take it to a mechanic and ask for a coolant leak test, they attach a unit to the header tank which will detect anything that may indicate the head gasket is leaking. Should not cost more that a few dollars.
Cruise control issue is not related to the coolant loss, have them do a code check on the vehicle too.

Floor of car fills with water in rain storms.


Guessing your car was flooded. You should be able to see them if they are there, though not usually found in cars anymore. Doors or panels with movable windows usually have provision for water to exit at their low points.

I had white smoke from the tail pipeand getting hot ... I had the heads done , gasket valve . and resurfising. when I got the saab back ,I drove it about 49 miles started driving slugish , bufs of black...


Sounds to me like they did a bad head job. No pun intended. lol, White smoke indicates moisture in exhaust but black smoke indicates a oil leak. I would take it back and have them check the job they did. If the car is over heating then the head gaskets are pretty much blown.

Difference between Pajero 4M40 & 4M40/T


my pajero 3.5 L petrol convert to 2.8 intercooler tubro diesel and when it go on first gear it is very very slow and after a few seconds then only the power come in full and powerful is it cause by turbo (standard) which build together with the engine and i need some advise on how to improve the begining accelaration power . thank u

Likely a faulty diverter valve. If you have some decent mileage on the car the DV may be failing. It's a flimsy design with a plastic internal diaphragm. They're not terribly expensive (you can buy them at www.ecstuning.com or www.purems.com).

That being said, I'd still look around the turbo and intake systems for a loose, cracked, or disconnected vacuum hose - a vacuum leak should trip a check light but it may not always do so. Look for that, and if nothing is apparent, then I'd look at changing the DV.

Oil in coolant only


You might have a blown head gasket that is allowing one of your oil galleries in the engine to mix engine oil with the coolant after the oil pressure gets to a certain point. You might also have a cracked head causing the same type of problem.
