If you are talking about a hard drive password that the computer prompts you for at bootup you are out of luck. A hard drive password is one of the most secure, but also most dangerouse because there is not master password to get past it, or way to wipe it out. If it is a bios password or motherboard password then there are ways, but if it is truely a hard drive password then to my knowlege there is no way around it.

Shutdown The System
Press ESC and Power button together
Enter the passwords if prompted
Press F1 to enter the BIOS
Select the password field (it shows Registered)
enter bkspc or space
enter your existing password
It prompts for New password
Repeat for verify
Now password is Unregistered

During the boot up process you will see on the screen press delete to enter set up
Press either delete or f2 during the boot up process to enter BIOS scroll down to set user password you can change or remove your password from there
