hi,
if the phone is stop selecting network automatically or manually ,maybe its software problem the furst reason or the hardware component called 2n2 capacitor..in the first case the phone is just experiencing signal problem that having no reason,no water damage or not drop...the solution to this is write PM or permanent memory...here is the procedure, tools and gadget you need..
1,jaf box gadget
2,1600 fbus
3,pm files of 1600
open jaf box ,select dct4 then check the phone is connected...if phone is connected ,thick write pm then service and select 1600 pm from the folder...if the writing is done ,it goes your phone with contact service but it can fix by simply thick unlock....
test the phone if it is now selecting signal ,if not yet go to the next solution ,changing 2n2 capacitor...
here is the location of 2n2 capacitor of 1600 ,you can get this component even in the old model nokia phone like 3210 ,8210 etc...

It sounds like battery needs to be recharged. Try connecting a USB cable between the nuvi and your computer overnight to fully charge the battery. After, you should use the car charger to keep it charged.

I have a new garmin nuvi with bluetooth. I have

When starting the two devices to work with each other for the first time, you'll need to make the bluetooth phone "discoverable" There should be a menu item on your phone pertaining to the bluetooth connection that will allow you to do this.

Get the nuvi to the point where it is almost ready to link with the phone, then put the phone in the mode to make it discoverable. Put the nuvi into the mode where it "pairs" with a bluetooth device. Once the pairing is done, you shouldn't have to do this again, unless you delete the phone profile from the nuvi.

If you have problems, you can speak with a Garmin representative to determine if your phone is supported or if an update to your nuvi is needed. They can be reached below:

Gps says to update unit

The GPS has detected that the maps loaded inside have been in place for a year or more, and is prompting you to update the unit with new maps. You do not need to update the maps if you are happy with the maps in it. The drawback is that since the maps were compiled in the unit, new roads, construction, etc. have been built or changed. This reduces the accuracy of the GPS, and can be noticeable when driving to a new location - when the GPS directs you to travel roadway that no longer exists.

You should log on to www.garmin.com to download firmware updates and learn about new maps that are available for your GPS. Additionally, speak to a customer service rep. if you have questions about software, firmware & updates - the help is free and there's no pressure to buy anything.

Nuvi 780 does not get past "loading maps". I have rebooted to no avail. I have let my MSN subscription expire. Does the entire GPS system depend on MSN?

The MSDN Traffic receiver does not need to be active to display maps. it is only needed for traffic reports, news, stocks, gas prices, Web Favorites, etc.

You may need to reload the maps into your GPS, unfortunately garmin stopped including the DVD in the box - BUT Garmin will send a DVD disk for free - just for asking. You will need your coupon codes however, to unlock the map.

I suggest you telephone Garmin and speak with a Customer Support Rep. to get a full explanation of what they can do for you.

Night ring

The manual day/night switch can be made from the operator ext (usually 101). This will over-ride the preset schedule.

Press:
[SHFT], [FEAT], scroll jog dial until you see Night Mode, [SEL], then press [0] for night or [1] for day.

To change the automatic start and stop time is, indeed, a phone guy (or gal) function.
