Could be it needs to be cleaned out. Or try different batteries. You might have put in ones that are old.

USB mouse not working?

Ok don't worry. Sounds like you need to Unplug the mouse for a sec then re-plug it back in to reset it. If the mouse is wireless then try replacing the batteries. Cause a wireless mouse can still turn on if batteries are weak but won't have enough power to connect to the receiver connect to the desktop/laptop. Try doing so and let me know if this solves your issue.

The mouse was working great. I pushed the connect button on the cradle and it quit working and now it won't start when I push the button.

Take the battery(ies) out of the mouse. Move the controller to another USB port. Put the battery(ies) back in the mouse. It should connect. If not, Logitech has override procedures listed on their site. I can't tell you which one to use. You didn't list the mouse model.

When i move my mouse it brings up thaings without hitting the mouse button

The most common reason for this activity is low batteries, too big a distance, or bad channel.

Try changing channels first using the button on the receiver and on the bottom of the mouse.
If that doesn't work, change the batteries in the mouse.
If that still doesn't work, try moving the mouse closer to the receiver.
One of those should FixYa.
