Re: MY OLD VERSION OF 3.0 FOR WINDOWS 1994 WON'T RESTORE...
It is common for extremely old versions of QuickBooks to not convert to new versions.
In this particular case, as with others, it may be necessary for Intuit to do the conversion, as the file may have to be taken through several older versions in graduated steps. There is also the possibility that the backup contains damage, and therefor cannot be converted up. Intuit can provide guidance on entering opening balances in a new file.

try the restoration method if it's hard to delete that,this works if you're windows xp pro ...follow this steps;
Click windows start>pointing all programs>click accessories>system tools>then system restore..
On system restore window tick on "restore my computer to an earlier time"
click next then select date and time to when your computer works good,or before that program was installed before the error occurs..
click next then next...wait untill the process complete...click ok after finish..
hope this help, goodluck
Do I need Windows XP Mode? Windows 7 has several built-in tools to help with program compatibility and Windows XP programs should be installed directly on Windows 7. Windows XP Mode runs many older Windows XP productivity programs and that are not natively compatible with Windows 7, thus helping realize cost savings and reduce possible operational downtime by extending the life of existing software. Visit the Windows 7 Compatibility Center to find software that works with Windows 7. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx
It's the best of both worlds: The new Windows XP Mode lets you run older Windows XP business software right on your Windows 7 desktop.
Designed primarily with small- and medium-sized businesses in mind, Windows XP Mode comes as a separate download and works only with Windows 7 Professional, Ultimate, and Enterprise. Windows XP Mode also requires virtualization software such as Windows Virtual PC. Both are available free on the Microsoft website. Download
i think u are probably out of luck. this software looks like it came from the late 90s and will work with anything up to xp, but vista & win7 are a whole different ballgame. best solution, buy an old laptop with win98 or 2000 or xp super cheap on ebay, or beg one from a friend, and use ur software on it there in the kitchen. that's what i do with my old laptop. works great if u have room in the kitchen lol
also transfer ur fave recipes from 20,000 recipes to a recipe organizer program like mastercook, it's much much better for searching plus u can enter 1000s of new recipes from anywhere. u can get older versions of mastercook for $5 on ebay. version 8 works just great for me with winxp. (WARNING if ur interested in mastercook on ur NEW computer, get version 11, the older ones DON'T work w/Vista or win7.)
Hello I will assist you with your problem today. Since there are not a lot of details to this question I will post all available solutions for you.
Are we talking about the Microsoft Genuine Advatange Tool that verifies if your copy of windows is legal or illegal if so here is your solution.
Solution 1: Remove the software from your computer by accessing your control panel and selecting the add or remove programs feature.
Solution 2: Do a system restore to where your computer will reverse any affects of this software. Typical you would want to set restore points when you are about to update your computer software or hardware including updates.
Solution 3: If neither of these work I suggest downloading a good program un-installer tool. I suggest CCleaner.
If this is not the question you are asking please contact me at anytime. I am an expert in all versions of windows from Windows 95 to Windows 7 RC
I suggest you use the Enterprise manager (gui tool to manage SQL).
Restoring a single table is not an option.
You can however restore a file or filegroup.
Make sure to backup before you start and NOT to restore database to its original name or original file location, to avoid acidents.
Normally you will have databases with only 2 files: the data at its Primary file group, and log file.
You may wish to create a new file group and move tables to the new group by recreating them there and exporting data from old table to new table. Then recreate indexes. This may prove to be complex as all tables and indexes have unique names and can't coexist with exact duplicate of them.
oh yea..... did I say backup?
well just in case backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup backup
but dont overwrite that backup
