There is a thin black line that run down the left hand side of the page2.5 cm in. all the photocopier & still the line is appearing. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

The page goes thro the feeder mechanism and passes over a thin strip of glass; maybe about 1/4 inch wide and runs across the fax under the cover where the paper is fed. You probably have dirt,corrector fluid or something like that on the glass this will cause the problem of a black line down the page to appear at the other end when you send a fax...and also to appear on your pages when you make a copy...open up the machine and clean the glass...cant help any more as you didnt state make or model.

Try cleaning the charge wire. Move the lime green plastic handle from one side of the image unit to the other in the groove. If this doesn't work you'll need a new image unit.$$$$$. note: Make sure green handle is moved completely to the right when finished or black line will occur.

if u not properly diagnos your laptop this problum will presest, untill u completly diagnos your laptop, other good suggestion is to directly contact with your Warranty Providers.

Most Mustek scanners have a black inside cover on the lid, this can give a black line down the side of the job.
ether cover the inside of the lid with white paper or place a bigger sheet on top of the sheet to be scanned!

This is a bad panel. The panel is very expensive to replace. It would be cheaper to buy a new tv. Sorry about the bad news.

open the scanning unit. in scanning unit clean the mirrors.
