My hotpoint bs73e wont heat up when i turn the dial

make sure the outlet has power first!!!!!!!!

check for a fuse, the fuse will be inside the unit right where the plug connect is located, you are going to have to remove some screws open the unit, check the wiring, check the element, if all okay call a service repair person or call the manufactures customer service line. look in the FAQ section for other issues

I'm getting an beeping and a flashing F2 signal on the display. What is that?

this means an overtemperature condition.
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/repairtips/repairtips_appliance+fault+codes.aspx#Hotpoint%20Range%20/%20Stove%20/%20Oven%20Fault%20Codes

There are two conditions for this, but both of them look like they require replacement parts.

a repair tech will need to be called. 1-800-4MY-HOME is Sears. They are a bit more expensive than some. Alternatively search the HotPoint Web site for authorized repair techs.

Sincerely,
Mark

Have an older model Hotpoint stove model number KS947MW-1. Get an rror code of F3 when trying to turn oven part on.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F3 in your range/oven means oven temperature sensor circuit failure. To resolve this issue you’ll have to check the oven temp. sensor circuit if the reading is more then 1100ohms then it should be replaced however, if the rating is fine then it is the Electronic Range Control (ERC) that has gone bad & should be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

What does ER08 mean

Hi, It indicates an overheated pcb board. This is a job for Creda as there are various causes and you could be buying expensive parts for nothing! :(

HOTPOINT DOUBLE OVEN mODEL uy46 BOTTOM OVEN NOT WORKING CANNOT CL

Hi,
While it is flashing auto ,you will not get the oven to heat up.
You must press the timer buttons in the correcf sequence to cancel auto.Refer to user hand book.
If you suceed with this, and the oven still does not get hot, then the element has probably failed.
