  • Protools has seen the card the first time that I connected.but did not let me set it up, now turn on protools and is not detected the card, and thus can not see it

  • I've seen in several forums that this problem has happened to many users of X-HD card for Apogee, but no write forum solution.

  • Basically it is a communication problem of the rosetta 800 with protools, due to the X-HD card

  • So if I have no solutions can send me my money back

  • please I know there are solutions to my configuration problems between the apogee X-HD card and the 192 digital in protools 8 because I write it,can somebody help me?

Hi, Try do the following:
1) Uninstall all Hardware & Software related to the issue.
In this manual, "parameters" are defined as the characteristics of operation, such as
CLOCK SOURCE or AES format, and are capitalized in this manner : CLOCK SOURCE.
"Values" are defined as the choices available for each parameter - for example, the parameter CLOCK SOURCE has the values INTernal,WC and INPUT Values are italicized in this manner: S/PDIF.
"Settings" are defined as the entire set of parameters and values.
When physical controls such as buttons or switches are referred to in the text,
they are highlighted in this manner: DOWN.
To reset the AD-16X, power up the unit while pressing the DOWN button. This provides a quick method to return to factory default settings when exploring the unit's functionality and capabilities. When reset, the conversion level is set so a +4 dBu analog input results in a -16 dBFs digital output.
Follow these simple steps to get started quickly:
1) Connect an AC input and the desired analog inputs and digital outputs to the AD-16X's rear panel.
2) Reset the AD-16X by powering up the unit while pressing the DOWN button.
3) Once the AD-16X has booted up, the CLOCK SOURCE will default to INTernal and the SAMPLE RATE will default to 44.1kHz.
4) If lock to an external word clock is desired, press the DOWN button until the WC lights .
5) To change to another sample rate (if CLOCK SOURCE is set to INTernal), press the NEXT button until the Sample Rate Display flashes, then press either the UP or DOWN buttons to select the desired sample rate.
6) In the clock window, verify that the desired sample rate is indicated and the"Lock Exclamation Point" is lit. If an X-Option card is installed, the AD-16X may be set in an Advanced Option routing configuration; please see page 9 for details.
3) Click on this link to Download the User Manual and Go To Page 9.

4) Click on this link to Download/Install All the CURRENT UPDATES for EACH SOFTWARE PROGRAM. Be sure to follow Installation Instructions.

So wait, Protools does see the Rosetta device, or it does not? It sounds like the computer at least saw the device if you updated the firmware, correct?

Please clarify a bit here... I read your question 4 times and still can't make heads or tails of it really... does protools see the rosetta but just can't read the signal, or it does not see it?

Yes I am seeing that is a known issue with the hardware, unfortunately there is no workaround for it... They are working on a ProTools update to support it, but it will be some time for that.

I am so sorry about that..

My VGA has been corrupted. How can I fix it?

Hi , I suggest to check for any thermal issues including condition of the video card fan / heat sinks ie dust ,
If supported you can run a LINUX disk like Ubuntu in live / try mode
If video works ok , then most likely a Windows environment incl hardware conflict or virus / driver corruption issue ,
but if not then most likely a video card hardware issue like bad card cooling fan or excessive dust - thermal shedding issue or card bios/chipset fault

If a likely software issue then uninstall and then reinstall the video card
Consult ASUS or Nvidia support

The procedure is something like this
Onboard video support ?
uninstall the video card driver and any video vendor configuration applets
Uninstall video card in device manager if still present.
Shut down and remove mains power cable
remove the hardware video card ,
(using anti static electricity procedures)
Attach onboard video to display
Power up and enter and configure BIOS setup if required, ie 1st seek onboard video
Bootup to Windows
Install the onboard video device
using Windows plug&play default driver executed during booting
Confirm working ok
Update the chipset driver (inf) if applicable,
Reinstall the hardware video card
Attach to display
Reconfig BIOS setup if required
Start to install default driver
Install video driver / update from card default using a known good driver whose setup file has been previously downloaded
restart and test

Hope this helps

Create a security exception. 1. In ESET NOD32 (Smart Security 5), click Setup.

I have several 600's and they all have the same issue. They are giving 161 192 163 errors. I replaced the battery in them and then go to try and setup the time. However, instead of letting me set the...

161 = CMOS configuration lost (battery has died).

163 = CMOS error; Clock is not updating.

192 = System fan is faulty, not plugged into the system board or the system board itself is faulty.

Whe you replaced the RTC (real time clock/BIOS battery) did you make sure that the CPU fan was working?

If it is then go back into the BIOS and reset it to defaults. Save the changes and reboot, then go back into the BIOS and try to set the time and date.

There is something that I have learned about computers and it is now posted on a big sign over my desk "WHEN IN DOUBT, RE-BOOT" and that's what I did. It solved my problem.
Thanks for getting back anyway.

9-16 channels issue

So you have your core card and how many accel cards?  Which interface is plugged into your core card? If you want the lynx to be 1-16 in and out the easiest thing to do is to make sure it is plugged in to the core card and your rosetta is plugged into the accel card installed after the core card.  As far as I know the power sequence won't change the assignment of the i/o.  If you don't want to change where the interfaces are plugged in then you can do it in the i/o setup and save the setup for the way your interfaces are plugged into the computer.  If your already plugged into the computer like I said then you will need to check the i/o setup to make sure the i/o setup isn't all scrambled.
