Why is my 5" sanding disks not sticking to my sander?

The holes are to suction dust for a vacuum attachment or dust collection bag. The sander will have a very smooth pad almost shiny if it takes stick-on discs (PSA). If not it will be a velcro pad and in that case you need the velcro discs. This description sounds like you have a velcro pad. Sticky discs wont stick to a velcro pad.

Velcro pad that the sandpaper is fixed to has come off the plate. What's the best glue to use to re-stick the pad with?

You may try a two part epoxy, or gorilla glue. Let dry for a day or two. Sometimes 3m spray adhesive also works. Let tack before sticking together though.

Sanding disk will not stick to the disk pad

IF you have a new disk and it will not stick, the velcro-like surface on the machine is worn. "Hook and Loop" is but another term for "Velcro" and the simplest solution is to purchase velcro tape from any fabric store and glue the correct side to the sander.

Can't figure out how to load the sand paper on to the mouse sander

Just stick the sand paper sheet to the base of the mouse sander... it's velcro it will hold... match the forme of the paper with the forme of the sander's base... that's all...

Cheers!

The base has lost its stickiness and no longer holds the velcro pad that you attach the sandpaper to.

I had same problem. Go to the hardware store and buy some Velcro strips. One side has adhesive, just put that side on the mouse. I had to put several strips on then cut around the shape of the mouse. Sandpaper for the mouse sticks to it great. Just be careful when pulling the used sandpaper back off that you don't tear off the Velcro. I threw that little pad away that was originally on the mouse.

I can't get the velcro pads to stick to my Ryobi RS280VS sander

Sounds like it is time for a new backing pad. Usually the hooks get cooked and/or caked so that they don't have the "claws" to grab the fuzz on the sandpaper. If this is a well used backing pad, the hooks eventually just break off from heat and wear.

Replace velcro pad on rupes random orbital sander need to know how to replace velcro pad please

I have replaced velcro on various sanders , you just take the original velcro off and make sure that the base is very very clean, use turps and metho to clean it with then buy some velcro from a good hardware supplier and really good glue [two pack epoxy is best ] and simply cut to size and then just glue new velcro onto the base of the orbital sander

I can't get the sandpaper to stay on the pad.

It sounds like you need to replace the backing pad on the sander. Over time the velcro (hook & Loop) on the backing pad will loose its stick. A Bosch service cneter can supply you with a new one, just let them know which model you have. If its an adhesive back sanding pad the same thing applys just get a new one. Hope this helps

Spare Tips for Black & Decker KA161 Mouse Sander Polisher

Hi,
Don't know if you had any joy finding the heads, I'm in the UK and managed to get all the spares I need for my mouse.
You can get them from here: http://www.mtmc.co.uk/Black--And--Decker-KA161K-Type-1-Sander-Spare-Parts/p-20239/
I believe the part your looking for is par 105 on the diagram, they're like less than £1 each (I just ordered 3).
Hope this helps.
