Most aftermarket stereos do have a fuse on the backside of the unit, usually it is a 10amp fuse that is right next to the wiring harness plug on the stereo.

Where is fuse in Bose SA-3 Amp

If there is not an external round push and turn style fuse port then it is in the unit itself. You will have to take it apart.

Dash lights and sterio dont work, could that be a fuse and where is it located?

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. You do have fuses for both. The dash cluster fuse and radio fuse. They are in your fuse box. If you don't have a diagram, just pull out each fuse and replace the ones that have blown.

My cigarette lighter is not charging in my car what could it be?

You mean there seems to be no power to the vehicle's lighter unit outlet.

This lighter unit outlet is normally wired through its own fuse so check the fuse panel in the car for a blown fuse. If blown it must be replaced with a fuse of the correct amperage. The owner's manual will show you where the fuse is located.

Before you check the fuse just check the cigarette lighter outlet with another plug-in device if you have one such as a portable 12 volt tire compressor or a 12 volt plug-in auxiliary light. It could be that if you are using a charger from the outlet, the charger plug or wiring may be faulty rather than the car's power outlet itself. (These outlets don't usually give trouble unless the wiring has been messed with or the outlet itself has been damaged or abused).

If no device works from the lighter power outlet check the fuse as it may be blown.

Radio / CD player will not work. Have already checked fuse box....nothing blown. Is there a fuse in the unit itself?

Yes, most stereos will have a fuse in them. Even the older ones had fuses, but most would have been old-style (glass tube with metal caps) fuse. If your stereo is a newer one, they are usually located on the back of the unit itself; look for a blade -type fuse. This would, of course, require pulling the stereo to access the back side.

Hope this helps!
