this may seem like a silly question if you've already tried it but have you checked the over temp breaker? If you have no idea what I'm saying there is a breaker on the back side of your machine. Of course Thermador is so kind to place it convenietly behind the back panel so you'll have to remove that. There should be a little red button in there somewhere toward the top middle half of the machine I should say. If you press that button it may work.

SOURCE: Bake mode will not work
Is the bake igniter working ? There are two igniters one for bake and one for broil My guess is that the bake igniter is bad and only the broil igniter is working. part #WB2X9154.

It would appear that the electric ignitor isn't functioning as it should and might need to be replaced.
You can remove the oven racks and the bottom oven floor to observe the ignitor. now turn the oven on and see if the ignitor glows, if not, the ignitor is faulty and needs to be replaced.
You can enter in your full model number at the following site and get the replacement part number (and price). If you're going to do the repair yourself, be sure to turn off the power or unplug the range from the power outlet before doing any work on it.
You'll need to pull the oven out so you can get at the backside panel where the electrical connections are located. There is also a screw on the inside of the oven that holds the lower iginitor in place. Simply remove and replace the faulty one with the new one and you should be fine.
If you want to confirm that the ignitor is the only issue, you can swap out the broiler ignitor with the oven (lower) ignitor, as they should be the same part for your range. If you swap them and the oven doesn't ignite, then the faulty part is probably either thermocouple that tells the gas inlet valve control, which lets gas enter into the oven. The thermocouple which tells the gas valve to open, once the ignitor has reached the proper temperature, so if the thermocouple isn't working, the gas valve won't open.
Here's a link that you can enter in your model number and get the parts list and a line drawing for your range. I think you're missing a few letters or numbers in your model#.
My bet is on the ignitor as the faulty part, but the swap test will confirm that, and if the swap doesn't work, then the thermocouple is bad.
Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

Hello, welcome to FixYa.
Based on your description, I`d suggest the hot surface ignitor for the bake burner is likely the problem. Here's what you can try to verify if it's indeed the ignitor...if you're mechanically inclined.
It'll look like this...
** FIRST unplug the range and turn off the gas to the appliance before attempting any service...safety first**
since your boiler has the same ignitor ( some do some don't, only a model number would confirm or dismiss this...thankfully you provided yours ) one could swap the ignitor`s ( very carefully, they are very fragile and don`t like to be handled ) this will allow you to use the bake burner, but it will leave you without the broil function...until you can purchase another.
This will confirm or dismiss if the ignitor is at fault...99% of the time this is the case. Many people overlook the ignitor, especially if it "glows" since that gives the untrained person the impression it works...that is not the case however.
You can also ohm it out to test it as follows...
You should be able to find one at most brick & mortar appliance parts vendors or on-line depot's such as "repairclinic.com", "searspartsdirect.com" to name a couple.
You can ask for part number based on the model number for the bake & broil ignitor. The number I got based on the premise it is a JGBP90 model is part # WB13K21
I would still double check with your model number with the part`s professional`s.
Hope that help`s. It is very unlikely to be the control panel/timer contrary to what your repairman has said...in my opinion. Let me know if I can assist you further and good luck.
Thank`s for visiting "fixya" for your repair needs.
