Your question has been sitting in the un-answered queue for a while, so let me venture out on the pier and ask ... what are you using this breaker for?

Tripped the breaker, which I finally got to reset now no power to dryer.

Most wall outlets used with appliances nowadays have breakers themselves. They have a ''test'' and ''reset'' switch. If I understand you correctly, you are saying the breaker in the box tripped. _If_ you have a breaker type wall outlet, then the breaker in your main box _shouldn't_ have tripped. If so, then your wall outlet breaker is bad. (Bear with me...)

If you have a standard wall outlet with no breaker, and you tripped the breaker in the panel box... what do you mean by ''finally got to reset''?? Did you have trouble resetting it? The way to reset a breaker is to push it _all the way_ towards the _off_ position, and _then_ push it towards the ''on'' position. If you have been trying to make it go to the ''on'' position without _first_ pushing it _all the way_ towards the _off_ position, then you have not really ''reset'' it. You have merely managed to jam it in a position that appears to be the ''on'' position.

Hope that makes sense to you...

So, push it all the way to the ''off'' position as hard as you can (within reason), and _then_ push it towards the ''on'' position. Then, it will truly be ''reset'' in the ''on'' position.

If you still have no power at the wall outlet, then (the way the whole thing is sounding), it's likely that you have a bad breaker.

Hopefully, it's just that you didn't know about the ''push towards off first, then push towards on'' thing.

That's the best I can do, given the limited info you've given via your question.

Why is the circuit breaker on my generator working backwards?

This could be ground fault type breaker. Remove the breaker and look at model number. Verify on google. If breaker is bad you could replace with generic breaker that will mount on your panel. Simple push button breaker will work ok. You can add ground fault with pigtail plug. If however breaker is good, there must be a short. If someone replaced the 115v plug with home type, you will have short at plug. Good luck

Breaker not working

Disconnect the wires on both sides of the Breaker. Use an Ohmmeter and attach it to the terminals on each side of the breaker. Then switch the breaker off and on. If the Ohmmeter fails to register a connection, the breaker is bad. If the breaker is good, then check the feed wires with a Voltmeter.

Some Solenoids and breakers work off of the grounded case. This means if the case is rusted, the ground can not be made. It would need cleaning. Sometimes if you replace a Solenoid, you can get one that is not a case grounded type. Your breaker would then not be the problem, but rather the Solenoid type is wrong.

I turned of my main 150 amp circuit breaker at my home and now it wont come back on. it just wont switch all the way on just half way how do i fix this?

My electrician buddy says never turn off the main on the weekend.

Main breakers are subject to heat for a long time. Heat shortens the life of all electrical devices.

Click main all the way to one side, and then push back
If it doesn't engage, then the breaker is probably bad

I have a GE PowerMark Gold Load Center Cat No. TM3210 with an 100A Main C/B and want to use the GE interlock type THQLLX1. However the literature says the THQLLX1 is suitable for a main breaker of 150 to...

The above Interlock kits are vastly overpriced. As long as the upper right hand breaker is available to use as your generator link, the kit should be good to go. Save the extra $100.

Protection light blinks and beeping

it has been through an overload (hence the protection light) and needs its breaker to be reset (look for a poped out button and push it back in) or it needs a new fuse (replace ONLY WITH THE EXACT SAME MODEL OF FUSE or it will either blow too early or too late (or not at all) when there is a surge.
