If you right click the cell in question and go to Format Cells..., on the protection tab there should be a check mark in the locked box. Go to the tools menu and choose Protect and Protect Sheet, enter a password and your cells will be protected.

Any cells you want to allow changes to when the sheet is protected should have the Locked checkmark removed.

Nested IF functions in excel

Hi,

Your first IF condition is “=IF(C6>6000,0.15%*(C6-6000),0)”

Where:

C6>6000 is your logical condition

0.15%*(C6-6000) would be the value if your logical condition is TRUE, and

0 would be the value if your logical condition is FALSE.

Your 2nd IF condition is “(IF(C6>30000,0.3%*(C6-30000)))”

Where:

C6>30000 is your logical condition

0.3%*(C6-30000) would be the value if your logical condition is TRUE, and

? would be the value if your logical condition is FALSE.

You are missing the value if it is FALSE.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turns up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

HELP with macro config

Hi Hss Holdings,

The easiest way to do this is to use a formula called vlookup. You need to have the raw data some where in the workbook, but it can be a separate sheet. Put all the raw data in a table, make sure the account number is on the furthest left column, then start entering the formulas

vlookup(value_to_find, table_to_check, column_index_number, range_lookup(true/false))

value_to_find = the value you want to find on the left most column of the table
table_to_check = the table you want to find the data from
column_index_number = the column number of the data field you want to return into this cell, 1 = the left most column.
range_lookup = false for an exact match, true for the nearest match

Say the table is on sheet2 between A1 and E300

B15 is whatever you type, so no formula needed here
B12 =VLOOKUP(C1,Sheet2!A1:E300,2,FALSE)
G12 = B12 =VLOOKUP(C1,Sheet2!A1:E300,3,FALSE)
etc

Hi you can Apply below mention formula
=ABS(SUM(COUNTIF(RANGE,"CATAGARI")-(COUNTIF(RANGE,"CATAGARI")))

RANGE = FROM WHICH CELL TO YOU WANT TO APPLY THIS FORMULA TO TILL WHICH CELL.
CATAGARI = WHAT DO U WANT < FOR FOR FIRST > FOR SECOND

Excel formula

Assuming that all of your data is in a single row number 4 and between columns N and PF

Try:
{=OFFSET(N4,0,MATCH(TODAY(),N4:PF4,0)+1,1,1)}

The MATCH function looks up the value of today() in the range N4 to PF4 and returns the number of columns offset from the beginning of the range. (The 0 here does an exact match)

The OFFSET function returns a value from a cell a specified number of columns from a reference cell, in this case N4, which is the first column that contains the search data. We need to add on to this value to skip the Interest column.

Regards,
Daryl
