I would have to say probably not. If you have no power at all (no stand by light) then I would suspect a blown fuse , check plug , If you havestand by light nothing else i would think capacitors in power supply are leaky. Capacitors are cheap , easy to replace but not for a novice, Capacitors usually swell up when old and can easilly be spotted to the trained eye.
