When the screen is cracked, the liquid inside the monitor, slowly leaks out, to the point where you can no longer use the screen. Its time to get the LCD screen replaced.

SO now it will not even display on the monitor? Are you sure the monitor is not the problem? Can you attach the monitor to another computer (a friends if you have to) and it works fine?

Please verify, if you are sure the monitor is working fine then just let me know here.

Thanks, let me know if you have any questions or concerns, just reply to my answer here and I will be right back with you.

Monitor STFC (Self Test Feature Check)
* Turn off the monitor
* Plug the monitor power cord directly into the wall socket to remove any surge protectors or APCs from the troubleshooting equation
* Unplug the monitor video cable from the back of the computer
* Turn on the monitor
* The floating dialog box should appear on screen against a black background. If the issue appears during the STFC, the monitor is defective. Get it replaced.

Aadab: when the moniter ON after few second the moniter is does not give display and when we on and off the moniter so then the picture displayed why this problem is occure.how i recover it.

That is because the settings on the power are set for the monitor to go to sleep if not in use.. It is a very quick and easy fix.. Just right click anywhere on the desktop that doesn't have any icons, the display properties box will appear, then click on screen saver under monitor power click on power, there you could set the monitor never to turn off... Let me know if this solved the problem and good luck..

We have a cracked lcd moniter. It is for an Acer Aspire 5315 15.4". How much would a repair like that cost?

Hi,

As per Acer repair policy, cracked screen is not covered under standard warranty. They will charge you $199 inorder to replace the screen. However, if know any local retailer or tech you can consult with them.

Thanks and regards,
