How to change remote control for electric kids ride on car

This is old info. but still applies. Transmitters and receivers normally come as a matched set. They both need to be on the same frequency to work with each other. Look the receiver in the car over carefully and you will see it, probably in Megahertz (MHZ). Open the back of the transmitter (Could be on the front?). Frequencies can normally be set by a switch, especially on a universal replacement. Just be sure they match and it should be good to go. Check the batterys of cource.

Volume control on remote does not always work. Is there something under the button that wears out? How to get inside remote to repair.

Hi, it's easy to fix. Most time when a remote volume control buttons does not work, it's usually caused by dirt inside or water spilt on the remote control, And when the button inside has moist, it responds slowly and does not respond at all.

What to do is this, Open the remote control, you will see a panel inside that controls the button functions. Use a cloth to wipe the all panel inside and close it back. Your done!!!.

But if it still those the same way, that means the damage is beyond repairs, You willneedto get another remote...

Hope it helps.

Thanks for using fixya....

Where do I place transmission fluid in my 1993 Nissan Maxima? Thank you!

Like most of the Nissan products tranny fluid is added by pouring it down the tranny Dip-stick tube ( no I'm not kidding).Get a small funnel and add a little bit at a time until the fluid level comes up.Sometimes a tight fitting piece of hose on the tube makes the job easier. We have one made up like this in my auto shop and it cuts down on spilt fluid. Good Luck

Can not turn tv off with remote control

Check the remote if it is putting out pulsating infrared. Point it to a pc cam and you should see the pusating light it is emmiting if it is good. Pc cam can detect infrared waves. This will at least confirm if the remote is functioning. If everything else is working exept the power button then carefully open the remote control and clean the contact to where the power button is. Sometimes liquid spilt on the remote dries up causing bad contact.

Keyboard removal

Removing the keyboard is not nessesarly your best option, the keys have a rubber boot under them, and are held in place/returned into their postion by a plastic spring/hinge. It is possible to carefully prise the "sticky" key from the keyboard and then clean the relevant bits under it with a cotton bud soaked in a suitable cleaning fluid. It is important to take note of the position of the plastic hinge in the event that you need to put it back together. To refit the "key", position it in it's place on the keyboard and press down firmly, it should click into place
