Cannon MD101 Wont eject Tape /No Power

Hi My Cannon DV Camcorder MD101 was playing back a DV Tape when it suddenly made the screen slowly turn white and shut down - Now the Camcodrer wont power up even on mains adapter and wont eject the DV Tape - can i manually eject the tape and if so how?

camera stuffed from sea water and sand cannot open to get tape out.......is there a way to remove tape manually without damaging it
