Question about Zanussi WJS1265W Front Load Washer/Dryer
The machine has been working fine, until yesterday when I put on a cotton quick wash (1h). After 43 min, in the middle of spin circle it cut out and made the split load switch in the fuse box go off. When I switched the fuse box on again, the machine cut out after 2 secs again. I took the washing out and drained it manually. Then I tried it again with no clothes in it, and again it cuts out at the same place in the circle. It spins and drain fine earlier in the circle, before cutting out. What could the problem be?? Thanx, Moa

I've just spent an hour taking mine to bits. On the back there are 2 x 9mm silver nuts at the bottom, below the star head screws you removed to get the top off. Then there are two more sneaky ones at the bottom of each side panel, just next to the gap about half way along on both sides., with a plastic cover hiding them from view. Make sure you release the mains cable holder from the top of the back by pressing the plastic clips down, then the whole shebang should slide off easily.

With the symptoms you describe i would suspect a intermittent heater element fault as you are getting earth leakage current which is tripping the whole supply rather than a current overload which would just trip the socket circuit breaker. Get the heating element checked over first as this is the most likely cause.
