You're trying to graph a function that does not involve stat plot features. You can correct this by turning off the stat plot features. Press "2ND" "STAT PLOT" and then select 4:PlotsOff.

I get a ERR: DIM MISMATCH when I try to use graph an inequality using the inequalz app

Your TI-84 Plus displays the ERR:DIM MISMATCH error if you are trying to perform an operation that references one or more lists or matrices whose dimensions do not match.
For example, multiplying L1*L2, where L1={1,2,3,4,5} and L2={1,2} produces an ERR:DIM MISMATCH error because the number of elements in L1 and L2 do not match

When trying to write simple graph lie Y=x+3 i get err: DIM MISMATCH QUIT

Dimension mismatch error occurs when arguments are not with same dimensions. Two or more arguments must be of the same dimension. For example, [1,2]+[1,2,3] is a dimension mismatch because the matrices contain a different number of elements. By the way, it it very easy to resolving your problem with graphing linear function. Hello,
Reset the memory of the calculator and draw your graphs again.
To reset memory
Press [2nd][MEM][3:Reset][2:Reset][ENTER].
Since this procedure resets the screen contrast to default settings, you may have to adjust it.
To adjust contrast
Press [2nd] key and release it.
Press and hold [UpArrow] to darken or [DownArrow] to lighten contrast.

Hope it helps.

Graph and trace buttons don't work

This is probably because you have the stat plot on. You would need to go to y= and then go to the top where it says stat plot 1 and un highlight it if it is highligted. That should fix your problem.

Graph and trace buttons don't work

If either error occurs when trying to graph a function (not a STAT PLOT), the error can be corrected by turning off the STAT PLOTS. The following steps will turn the STAT PLOTS off, allowing the graph of the function to be displayed.• Press [2nd] [Y=] to access the STAT PLOTS menu.
• Select 4: PlotsOff.
• Press [ENTER].
• Try graphing a function like y = x^4-3x^3+6x-1
