Hi,

the the problem is from the laser (lens) of your navigation system. It cannot read disk because the laser (lens) is weak or dirty.

Its might also be that the disk you inserted into the system has some scratches or the disc is bad. Try several discs on the system.

If problem still persists after trying several discs, get the laser replaced and it should read disk again.

Good luck.

Hi. Every time I turn my Toshiba Satellite Laptop on (A305-S6905) it turns on normal then it goes to this black screen and says "A disk read error occurred press ctrl+alt+del to restart." I...

The disk read error message appears when the motherboard can't read what is in the hard disk and use it to launch the Windows boot process.
It means that the hard disk is dead and everything on it is lost, including the recovery partition that new laptops use instead of the recovery disks. You will have to replace the hard disk (a quite complicated job that only an experienced person should do) then order a recovery disk from here
https://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/serviceUnitVerification.jsp
and use it to reinstall Windows.

Laptop acer aspire 4920g not getting started. beep sound comes then it says "pxe-e61:media test failure check cable" No operating system found.

Ok there can be a few things. One your hard disk may be bad. Two you will need to check the connection between the hard disk and the computer. Also if you want you can disable the PXE option in the bios and make sure the boot order of the system is correct.

here is the service guide for the unit

When i plug my verbatim hardrive in all i get is " please insert disk into drive f" and will not let me open the drive.

Windows is unable to read a valid "Table-Of-Contents" from the disk-drive. So, Windows is "guessing" that writing an "empty" Table-Of-Contents onto the disk-drive is the best action to take, but it's asking your permission, before proceeding. If you have existing files on the device, say 'no'. If you have NO files, or you are willing to "forfeit" ALL the files currently on the disk-drive, say 'yes'.

If you say 'yes', and Windows fails to write the new Table-Of-Contents, then there's something physically wrong with the disk-drive. Check the warranty-status of the device -- if the warranty sitll is valid, Verbatim will replace the device, at no cost to you.

It might be something wrong with the system. You should get that checked out. If it's not the system, i'm sorry, but you're just a very unfortunate person.

Wont read new discs only call of duty 4

It may just be that your dvd drive's laser is dirty (idk how) but thats what was wrong with mine. It would say that there way no disk or that my 260 games were dvds, then I took it apart and cleaned the laser. That fixed my problem so it might work for your system just google "how to take apart 360" and you should find some guides of taking it apart. Anyway hope this helps!
